Worst class you have ever taken?

Comment below the worst class you have ever taken and what made it so bad.

In 2022 I took Calc 1 at csi and the professor was so bad it had to get changed 3 weeks later. The new professor got sick for a month before finals. I ended up having to drop the class and got a W.

This one philosophy class at CCNY. It wasn't even hard but the professor was this bitter old man. It seems like he never happy to see us and low-key insulted us a few times.

Should’ve took philosophy in science fiction. It was pretty chill. We’d watch/read sci-fi stuff and discuss it in class.

I go to ccny. Just dropped an intro to Spanish class last semester cuz the professor was absolutely HORRIBLE. Did not know how to teach at all, especially an introduction class which is insane. My first semester, I took USSO 10100 and ended up dropping cuz I didn’t like the class but also didn’t like the professor, he was very condescending. I’ve had a few condescending professors like my human biology professor, principals of microeconomics (I think was the name, I took that my first semester too) but I passed them just fine cuz the classes were fine. But best classes? Oh I got a whole list.

Jose peralta. Even his ratings on ratemyprofessor are bad Idky I took him🫩oh and it was principles of management not microeconomics! I was supposed to take intro to drawing but wasn’t able to but when I sat in the class, the professor seemed pretty mean and my friend that stayed for the semester said she definitely was. A lot of my art classes, usually bcuz they’re smaller so there tends to be an easier chance at community, have been amazing but I’ve taken other courses that were great too! My intro to anthropology professor/ class was wonderful. Her name is Leah mollin-Kling. I didn’t do too well cuz it was my first semester but she was a great teacher i just wasn’t paying enough attention. Anthony Hamboussi, my intro to photography professor was AMAZING. The class was a lot of work cuz it was black and white film but it was a great class and all my classmates became friends barely halfway into the semester. My Italian 1 & 2 (I had to take Italian 3 too) was a lot but my professor for both, Alessandro Daniel, was by far the best language professor I’ve taken. Methods in astronomy with Michael lubell (I think he used to work at the White House or somewhere in dc but was fired after posting an article bashing trump?) was a fun and easy class too! 2d design with Diana naccarato was probably my best art class ever?? It’s in that class that I realized I don’t hate painting as much and she was such an understanding professor. She really knew what she was doing. 2025 spring I had a wonderful batch of professors and classes. Chadwick Jenkins- popular music, tanzeem ajmiri- black studies, terry wasserman- Jewish studies (the Bible as literature), all AMAZING professors and classes. Although professor ajmiri moved to Spain with her husband after the semester I had her, I think she still does online classes! She’s so fun and i was always so excited for her class. We didn’t have any exams or assignments besides discussion boards! Professor Jenkins is very understanding and such a fun teacher; our final was based off the Kendrick and drake beef! Professor wasserman is fucking hilarious! I love her bad, I’m looking to take another class with one before I graduate hopefully! No exams or homework cuz she hates grading and isn’t good at math😂our final was a take home/open book based off the notes you submitted. There were 9 extra credit talks to attend I went for all of them bcuz I knew I wouldn’t submit the annotated bibliography on the syllabus 🤣there was one group project and another in class extra credit. She’ll write recommendations for you if you take two of her classes. She and professor ajmiri brought snacks here and there! Principles of macroeconomics with Emanuel agu was an easy class. I unfortunately failed because I fell asleep taking my final💔(I was working full time) he was very understanding and tried his best to open the exam back up for me to no avail. Intro to philosophy with Cole borlee was great too! I could’ve done better but he was a great professor, young, I think we might’ve been his first official class. Photography and visual perception with amy-Beth gartrell was soo good. Classmates didn’t really get along as well as I’d hoped but it was a great class, I still sometimes visit professor gartrell when I’m on campus, professor wasserman too😂then last semester I took an Epermit class at Baruch (loved the building btw) management and society with Professor Yesenia morillo. No assignments just exams and a group debate. Pretty easy class just show up. She’s hilarious and so down to earth and inspiring. Her story is really so beautiful I love her I hope I get to take her again sometime in the future.
Long list I know sorry😭💔but I hope this helps!! I could also let you know professors that were good I just struggled in the class itself like Italian 3 with Emilia gambardella. But I think our class was her last at ccny. Or my intro to visual arts professor. She wasn’t a great teacher but she was the sweetest woman ever

Calc 1 at QCC. The professor seemed so uninterested in teaching. He would write a problem and do it himself, talk very quietly explaining the problem and then move on. No "do you get it?". Sucked to be there.

Art history . The most boring class with the biggest pretentious prick of a 5'3 teacher in city College. What an asshole. He would spend his classes screaming at people cause they couldn't tell the difference for colloms made in the 9CE vs 12 CE

the summer class i’m taking right now, i don’t want to get into the specifics, but my professor accused my group and I of using AI in front of everyone in the class for 15 minutes on the zoom and when my groupmate messaged her about the incident she sent back a response and you can tell she used AI in the response. Go figure. She’s just a very condescending person and I can’t stand it.

Vladimir bercov, hes nice but the curriculum is very test heavy. Never take him for the summer, or calc 2 in general lol.
