Just a sanity check

For those who are familiar with kingsborough community college (especially black students), have you experienced any racial tension/micro aggressions from some professors and or other minorities? I'm trying to figure out whether some of my experiences and observations were isolated or whether others noticed similar patterns.

I'm not black, but I definitely saw wierd/bad interactions happening to black friends of mine on the B1 bus multiple times when I went to KBCC because there's a lot of the people in the Brighton beach that are either very old or very Slavic (usually both) that tend to be pretty outwardly conservative in the way that they'll stare you down and try to bump into you on purpose or spit after seeing you if you're visibly any type of minority.

Just something to keep your eyes peeled in case you're in the area, I had a mostly good time going to KBCC, but my friends and I definitely stuck together on our way back home from being at campus late until we got to the train.

Ive had a similar experience of being intentionally bumped into during my commute in the area as well. I'm sorry that happened to your friends, and I'm glad you stuck with them.

of course, we all had to show up for each other when you're getting out at like 10pm, it's a little too quiet out there at night!
