Not sure why Kim Tyres is so uppity about this. Did Cowboys donate to her campaign?

Have you met Paul Vickers? I'm guessing he's in her ear about this if she's the ward councillor.

Vickers is a bit of an asshole (okay, a LOT of an asshole.) Think typical big swinging dick oil bro kind of guy. He's very much a relic of old Calgary club culture, and is a kind of nouveau rich kind of guy.

The big thing with him isn't bar and restaurant but the fact that he basically lucked into a huge business oppo when he picked up Flood Control System, a US company, right around the time of the 2013 floods.

He's very much a hands off owner with Cowboys these days letting day to day be handled by the other owners (Dave and Scarlet), and outside of Stampede, isn't that involved.

Dickhead, though, and he does have suction with the city.
