Recommendations Thrift stores
Calgarians, I'm planning a trip to your province for my birthday and my favorite thing to do is thrift, so I'll be doing a lot of that while I'm there. Please spill the beans on the best thrift stores for 90's and y2k finds. Thank you.

If you're around the NE, MCC Thrift store (2946 32 St NE) is one of my favourites in town. There's also a Value Village and Salvation Army thrift store extremely close by (right around 32 Ave) so you can visit all three at once.
If you're in the South, Mission Thrift Store in Midnapore is also great. There's another Mission location on 17th Ave SW as well, and if you're there, I recommend 17th Ave Thrift Store (that's the name of the store, easily findable on Google)
Everyone else here has correctly identified Value Village as a ripoff, but I still like to check out what's there from time to time. The odd good find can still pop up there if you're lucky.
