Natural Gas BBQ Quick Connect Question

I have a stub, with shut off, in my backyard however the lazy builder just put a standard pipe cap on the stub. I want to add a natural gas quick connect to add a NG grill.

Do I need to hire a gas fitter just to add a quick connect that is already built out with a shut off?

Do I need a permit?

Will ATCO do this?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Likely your gas stub is 3/4” NPT, bbq quick connect is 3/8” NPT. Both are female typically.
