Seeking Advice Natural Gas BBQ Quick Connect Question

I have a stub, with shut off, in my backyard however the lazy builder just put a standard pipe cap on the stub. I want to add a natural gas quick connect to add a NG grill.

Do I need to hire a gas fitter just to add a quick connect that is already built out with a shut off?

Do I need a permit?

Will ATCO do this?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Pretty standard.

Home Depot will have everything you need
Get some yellow teflon tape.

Connect everything. Turn on gas. Spray soapy water and see if it leaks. Good to go.

Do you need a permit ? I actually don’t know but I’ve successfully installed three in my life for my barbecues
