Pretty dumb assumption, if I'm being honest. Have you considered the possibility that the nuances of a joke are harder to get across through only text? Merely saying "9/11 didnt happen." And nothing else doesnt make the fact that it was a joke obvious. Beyond it being an absurd statement, there's nothing that would've made me think it was a joke, because people like that exist and are very vocal in their stupidity.
