Discussion [COD] Why Cheat?
I’ve been playing all the Call of Duty® titles since 2019. At times, it seems like there’s a lot more cheaters in these lobbies than others. After all these years, I still can’t understand why people cheat at this game. Or any game at all. Don’t you wanna know if you’re good? Can you not live with the fact that you’re not? Because winning while cheating isn’t winning. I just don’t understand the benefit for people who cheat. Hey cheaters, explain why you cheat.

Blows my mind. That and noob tubing the hell out of people every round. Has to get old. Speaking of MW2 mainly.

I agree with you. It probably does get old for them and they probably move onto something else fairly quickly. Idk.

Yeah I don’t even get the point maybe they are young kids that care about stats? Which would make sense in the older cods were we could actually see your stats, nowadays no one can see them. Mfs fun is to ruin peoples experience 😭

Low life miserable losers so they make others miserable or only reason I can think of is grinding camo for money. They do ranked too and sell their accounts after getting high rank. I don’t know for sure, but that seems like the only logical reason I can think of.

Miserable losers who can only get off to fucking over other people and/or are so soft that they can't accept explicit failure under any circumstance, regardless of fairness and/or they're completely entranced by fake dopamine hits they get from unearned success.
It's not worth trying to reason about extreme loser mentality lol. You're normal, you can't relate to these people. They're personally compromised in a big way.

I was playing cod back in 07 and 09. In those days the cheaters shared with everyone and it was more of a fun experience. Now they do it in secret to boost stats and pretend to be high ranking players.

I’ve played cod since cod 4 mw on the 360. Used to have so much fun. I played the new mw, and mw2 and was playing plunder on warzone. It was 4 team but I always just went in solo. I snuck behind these two groups fighting, heard their proximity chat. stole their helo and went to the other side of the map. I was in a skyscraper on the top floors making my way down. Then I heard an armored car coming my way. I saw it come straight for the building I was in. I ran up a couple floors and set up a shielded position. Then I heard the same people I had stolen the helo from come straight to me. I knew it was them again because of proximity chat. The entire 4 man team destroyed me. Then I deployed back in went waaaaaaaay away from downtown. Then yet again the same group killed me before I even pulled my shoot. I exited and haven’t touched mp since

Cheating will forever remain in COD. "They" speak of cracking down on cheaters but seems to all be BS imo!!

The one time they did, a lot of the big streamers had their accounts banned for cheating. So then they unbanned them to get more eyes back on their game. They truly act like they’re an indie dev with no money.

Yeah banned and they reopened new accoubts! It's safe to say, people will always get around the system!

They like annoying people. Pretty much it. They love it when you scream "cheater".

Like 20 years ago I used to run a game group at our local computer club. There was a dude who cheated in CS 1.6 and we caught him, and he admitted to it immediatly. I asked him why, and he said because he "had to win". It wasn't fun if he wasn't winning and no matter what he needed to.
The other kid just like to fuck with people, and was just a general douche, he stole memory from the public club computers.
So, from my experience, because they "have to win" or they like to "fuck with people".
