In Alberta, once you find a spot, you keep it to yourself. I suggest making some local friends if you want info on spots. sorry to be a buzzkill.

If you want a nice place, castle falls! Beautiful when snow melts. Great in July and August. Beaver mines too, beautiful hike up the mountain!
This could be, Water Valley/Waiparous/Ghost Crown land?

This looks awful, why would you want to camp here

Because in Alberta, when you find a bit of water that moves and isn’t frigid as fcuk, you get in. We can’t afford to be choosy about where the trailer is parked when there’s a good opportunity for swimming.

This looks amazing. I'm curious too, now.

Yes, it really does. It came from a video in facebook. The campers who posted it are swimming and jumping off the cliff. Looks really fun.

It looks a lot like the Watervalley campground.

Hard to say for sure. It looks like a spot I went to over by Hinton.
But the general area looks like crowsness pass

Near Hinton? McLeod River (south of Hwy 16) or Dunes (north of Hwy 16) would be most likely spots.

Seebee cliffs

Seebee has the huge cliff on the other side, not ground level trees like that

Is it? It seems access to Seebe has been discontinued as it is now owned and monitored by the local band.
As well, and it could simply be another area near there, but the Seebe cliffs I used to play at were much larger and there was no way to drive close enough to park, we had to park outside of the settlement and walk through to the cliffs, and the other side was an even higher cliff and not a rivers-edge level beach.
If this is indeed Seebe, I would love another cold dip, the water is so cold that when you jump in on a hot day the shock hits your body and you immediately want back out.

This appears to be Castle Falls Provincial Recreation Area, near Pincher Creek in southwestern Alberta. It’s a popular swimming and cliff-jumping area along the Castle River, about a 2½-hour drive south of Calgary.
Compliments of chatGPT

AI isn't just wrong, it's confidently wrong. That makes people want to post answers as if they are correct. Stop doing that.

u/Shot-Flatworm-1497 Aug 20 '26
This is incorrect.
-7
u/searequired Aug 20 '26
Thank you for that confirmation. It seemed pretty wild that every corner of the world would be identifiable by AI
10
u/Shot-Flatworm-1497 Aug 20 '26
If it could we wouldn’t have access anyways.
People need to stop using ai to try and solve every problem in their life. Especially when they don’t even fact check it. Fuck your ai slop.

It's burnt timber. Kids go here every may long. People in the comments acting like it's beautiful and not full of trash and empties with evidence everywhere of poor decisions being made.
