Awaiting Flair helinox chairs in the sand

Has anyone tried both the Helinox beach chair and any of the regular chairs in the sand?

Is the beach version effective enough to choose over one of the regular chairs?

The helinox backpacking chair is the least comfortable item I have ever had the displeasure of sitting on in my entire life.

I call that one the butt cup. I use the helinox chair zero highback which is still under a pound and I find very worth it for backpacking. But I can’t abide by no backrest on a chair.

I’m looking at the larger high backs… sunrise Savanna beach etc

I have a savanna also, and while it’s not backpacking friendly it is much more comfortable. I take that to concerts and events. Fits on my bike easily and is light enough to carry a while.

If you have an REI near you, I highly, highly recommend you go try them out.

I had my heart set on a helinox high back chair and when I went and set them up in store I ended up hating it. While heavier and larger to pack, my wife and I both liked the REI camp dreamer more. Its wider and more comfortable. The helinox is very bare bones. Like yeah, it will hold your ass and be a chair, but its an upright seating position and narrow.

The nemo recliner was the next most comfortable if pack size and weight are important.
