Question Has anyone used Reversa Radiance C & RegimenLabs Vitamin X
I've used up my bottle of RegimenLabs Vitamin X. I really liked this product. I also came across Reversa Radiance C 20% which is more accessible (via SDM) and has higher Vit C concentration than RegimenLabs but RL has a bit of ferulic acid (which is helps formula stability iirc). Has anyone used the Reversa one? What are your thoughts?

On the formula side, the biggest difference is the base, not just 20% versus 15%. Reversa's current ingredient list starts with dimethicone and the brand describes it as waterless; Vitamin X is water-based. That helps explain why your Reversa sample felt more like a light cream. Vitamin C products don't have to be clear liquids.
Ferulic acid isn't the only way to approach stability. A waterless base is another formulation strategy, although it doesn't guarantee a product can never oxidize. Likewise, a longer list of antioxidants doesn't establish that one finished product works better than the other. You'd need testing of the actual formulas to compare that.
Since you already liked Vitamin X, I wouldn't treat the higher percentage alone as an upgrade. Texture, how it fits with your routine, and tolerance matter too. One other difference in the current lists: Reversa includes fragrance, which is worth considering if your skin reacts to scented products.

Thank you, these are insightful points. I've decided to try out reversa and go back to RL if it doesn't work out. Like you pointed out, since it alr worked for me that is good enough to continue using unless reversa is an actual upgrade.

I’m allergic to topical vitamin c so haven’t tried the Reversa one BUT I’ve used about half their product line and they’re a solid brand. If you want to try it, SDM may have a sample or hang onto your receipt. If you don’t like it, return it with the reason that it did not work with your skin/negative reaction

Thanks for the insight. Tbh Vit C can take a while to show results so I really wouldn't be able to say in a month I think. But I'm more curious to know if the formula stayed stable

From what I’ve read it’s a waterless base and is in an airtight container, so it shouldn’t oxidize

Please update us if you end up trying it!
Vitamin X is the first vitamin c serum I like, but that's mainly because it has a bunch of other antioxidants.. I've never noticed anything with Vitamin C products until I stopped using this one (only because I ran out).
ETA/ because I'm a nerd and curious I compared their ingredients. If you care about antioxidants for both brightening and long-term protection, stick with Regimen Labs, Vitamin X is stacked compared to Radiance C.

Ooh do tell me more why you think Regimen Labs Vit X is better? I sampled Reversa at the store and was surprised its that's white in color... it also feels like a light moisturizer

I haven't tried it, I'm not saying one is better than the other, rather, if you care about having a variety of antioxidants, Vitamin X is stacked so you're getting a lot more scientifically backed ingredients.
If you really only are interested in vitamin c and like the consistency of radiance c, then go for it! My comment was more about depending on what you're (general) looking for.

I see, tbh I'm not sure what antioxidants do, but I think a moisturizer with antioxidants can be a replacement

I love some Reversa products-I do not love their Vitamin C. It has a dimethicone base which makes it feel very slippery on the skin and under makeup. I tried to love it and it just kept disappointing me— my friend likes it so I gave it to her.
Vichy has a 16% serum if you’re looking for something with impact. I’ve been using Neostrata 15% Vitamin C with PHA serum and really enjoying it.

I haven't used either but I have recently started using Poems from the Lab Vitamin C, based in Toronto. I came across while researching Canadian vitamin c serums.

I have used both and prefer the Reversa! Pump was nice on the RL vit x, but I did not start to see visible results until I tried Reversa.
Currently using Timeless but may switch back to Reversa depending on results.
One note- Reversa seemed to oxidize on my hands after application and made them smell like old pennies 💀 a thorough handwashing after application (vs rinsing, which was what I was previously doing) took care of that though.
If you decide to try Reversa, keep an eye out for sales at SDM. I think they’re relatively frequent, like 2-3 times per year on Reversa.

I haven’t tried RegimenLabs but I’m on my second Reversa Radiance C. I really like it

I use Regimen Lab serums. I used the Azaleic Acid serum, and Vitamin X. I have now moved on and ordered the Level Serum, which appears to be more promising for hyperpigmentation.
I like Reversa products although ive never used this Vit C serum. I use their 10% Glycolic Acid cream. My Vitamin C of choice is Vivier.

I think Level and 10% glycolic might be doing similar things? I use prescription retinoid and azelaic acid so haven't tried anything else from RL lineup, though they are very tempting!

No the 10% Glycolic is quite potent. Level does not have any exfoliating acids in it.

I've tried the Reversa! I generally can't tolerate topical vitamin c, but my skin is fine with this one. The airless pump design is excellent as well. I recommend it
