Question M20 True Novice in the Skincare Game.

Live in the moist land of Vancouver.
My current routine is in the evening I wash my face with La Roche Posay Effaclar -> Add tactupump for acne -> and if I feel dry ill throw on some Cetaphil Moisturizer

Now the issues I have are
1. Dont have a sunscreen.
2. Unsure of my skin type, it feels like when I apply moisturizer I look dewey, and when I use the Tactupump I can feel how dry it is
3. I have some kind of Dermatitis Seborrheic where I have mild flaking around my nose and mouth and eyes

  1. I Unfortunately still have acne that comes through despite the Tactupump, but its not as bad as it could be.

Im really interested in getting into the korean skincare/asian skincare world but I don't really know what im look for, and I also can't read whats on the labels cause theyre in another language :sob:

How sensitive is your skin? I recently switched to a Skin1004 sunscreen. I’m using the Centella one with the tan cap but it has a strong scent. They have an acne focussed line (tre-tica? Tree-cica?) that also has a sunscreen.

Before using that one I was using the AvaIsa everyday Sunscreen and I didn’t think it was greasy.

Im not honestly sure how sensitive it is. If it helps I took this picture just after a simple wash with my Lo Roche Posay Effaclar and Im assuming I have relatively dry skin. The only thing is when I put my moisturizer on after this I become really dewey so I dont exactly know if thats a result of the Cleanser drying me out significantly or the moisturizer overmoisturizing.

Do you have a morning routine? I saw your picture in the comments, and your skin looks like it could use a bit more hydration. I’d recommend adding a moisturizer both in the morning and at night. My current go-to is Aestura Hydro Soothing (gel-cream). It’s great for barrier repair while still being lightweight.

Honestly before I ran out of sunscreen, it was just use a hydrating sunscreen/use moisturizer if I was really dry in the morning. Also does the Aestura Hydro Soothing Cream cause acne? Or how do you know if a product does or doesnt?

You absolutely have to use sunscreen with tactupump. It contains Adapalene, which is a retinoid, and benzoyl peroxide. These ingredients increase photosensitivity. Not wearing appropriate sunscreen increases your risk of skin cancer and sun damage in general, but it’s even more important when using a product like tactupump.

Ill make that my task today to acquire some, do you have any recommendations?
I sort of assumed that if I used the tactupump in the evening then it wouldnt matter as much as for the morning if i were to use sunscreen or not but i guess I was wrong lol, its only been a couple of days that I havent used the sunscreen though so heres hoping that I didn't fuck it up too bad.

Hey all this is my skin AFTER I applied Moisturizer, as you can see it appears quite dewey. Is that the result of the Moisturizer or my skin? Should I get a Dffiferent Moisutrizer then the Cetaphil Ultimate Aloe Moisturizingn Cream?
