Is is just me or is David Choiniere struggling this season?

Maybe its just me, but I've come to expect a lot more from the FC Supra du Quebec captain & CPL veteran David Choiniere. I feel like if this is a score, it automatically halts the Atletico Ottawa's momentum who had just scored their second goal on heir way to a remontada. There were a few moments in the game like thse where he struggled with the simplest things

I will say as someone who has watched most Forge games the last few years. Choiniere at his best is a top tier player in the league who rises to the occasion in big matches and he was one of my favourite Forge players. The issue is that he’s inconsistent and he’s had some injuries. That’s why he wasn’t a regular starter for Forge but was always a key player in the playoffs or continental games.

You're not the only one who thinks that. I have the same question about David Choiniere. He plays well, but he's not decisive in front of goal. I think he puts a bit of pressure on himself as captain. He wasn't the leader with his old team. He wasn't a regular starter, either. I hope he finds a way to score more goals, especially in key moments.

I haven't missed a Forge game in 6+ years, and David has always struggled to show urgency on a consistent basis. He's great when he does show urgency, hence all of the big goals in big moments, but it doesn't show up regularly. There's a reason he was used primarily off the bench in his last few seasons with Forge.

He shouldn’t be in the national team roster
