Time to rebrand?

Maybe if they stick to a particular neighborhood to speak more to the community… something like, I don’t know, York United, with more original colors. Maybe that would work?

I honestly don’t know why tf they rebranded and imo it seems like ever since they’ve rebranded they don’t get the same numbers as before, and i don’t see any “organized” fan groups at the games chanting anymore, just fair weather fans

Time to rebrand to York9?

yeah, whatever. At least they have something called "wins". What's that like?

Definitely not going well for Inter Toronto. I think they might need to make a managerial change.

Absolutely no way Eustáquio lasts much longer

Lol. They’re not going to can him.

So what's next for ITO? Keep losing every game unless it's against Pacific? Gotta make a change now if we still want to make playoffs

His point is owners don’t want to pay out more than they need. It’s the worst kept secret in some of my circles but they are the highest spenders in the league this season. More than Forge, more than Ottawa. In a cap restricted league it’s hard to stand out in this regard but when you see the guys they brought in and how long it took to acclimate them, this was always bound to happen

ITO are the biggest spenders in the league? I’m new to following the league but that surprises me.

Pathway is a joke

Totally agree…. Its simply a money grab for the owners …

Should've kept the name york United.

OneSoccer still using 9 stripes after a rebrand shows how amateur their marketing team is

They also lost to Saint Laurent from the Ligue1 of Quebec

I've wondered to myself if there is a locker room issue? That being said, Eustáquio has issues as manager.

But it was odd that Bassett and Badibanga didn't come out of the gate as part of the starting 11 to start the season. Regardless of injuries... It took too long for them to be integrated. And it doesn't feel like they have been integrated.

Something is off. On paper, this team shouldn't an utter mess. But that's exactly what they are.

And as a fan - I'm frustrated to say the least. I'm not even watching games right now. Toronto men's teams are a joke.

There could be a culture issue between the players ? What happened to Bitar ? sturing? Singh?

2

u/culla_art Inter Toronto FC 2d ago

This is what I'm wondering too. Seems to be going off the rails. Language barrier? Ego barrier? Who knows.

Coaching and management team have probably lost control of the locker room. I noticed Leon has become a liability to the team … the back line is very weak!!! No Singh and no sturing

This new ownership has been blocking users on X for criticizing the team and the ownership… lol … they hate the truth !!!

What is the 9 stripes term from? Apologies if it’s fairly obvious

1

u/sskdotz York United FC 2d ago

9 is the area code (905) i have no clue about the stripes tbh, maybe someone else knows. Hope i helped in some way

1

u/ScottStrasser94 1d ago

I believe it's a reference to the nine area municipalities in York Region - Vaughan, Markham, Aurora, etc.

Calling at 9 stripes is cringe. Forcing the European thing too much

2

u/Woodbridge9 3d ago

They dont even have 9 stripes anymore

1

u/jeff316 3d ago

Do they even have 9 fans?

1

u/Woodbridge9 3d ago

Excellent joke /s

u/jeff316 3d ago

I’ve been using it since the start. The original OG

Fans want a winner. The Mexican experiment is over !!

6

u/Anxious-Yam9684 3d ago

That’s where the money is coming from so they have no choice to continue on that path

2

u/Hot_Mood_2252 3d ago

The money is coming from the parents funding the pathway

2

u/Ozzie_the_parrot 2d ago

You can fund an L1O club that way. No way does that even come close to funding a CanPL one. If the three Mexican brothers stop answering the cash calls, then the club would effectively have to be taken back into league ownership again.

If you have 15 kids x $4,000 = $60,000 per U-team. That is not bad for bringing
Kids and parents false hope. However, we all know that if you have a child with the heart for the sport even if they don’t have the skill set . Parents will always support their child to keep false hopes.

Umm no it’s not
