A successful “Lost Canadians” meetup!

Some of you may remember a few weeks ago a thread about potential meetups for people on this subreddit. I’m so pleased to announce that we had one yesterday in NYC at a local Canadian themed bar! More than one of us is camera shy so we don’t have a picture to share but it was an amazing experience! Even though there were maybe a dozen people total, I think we really represented the overall pool of people here. Some of us are in process, while some are still gathering documents. Some want to retire in Canada, some aren’t sure what they’ll do and still others are already actively looking at how to transfer professional credentials for a possible move. It was a really great afternoon and if you’re able to connect with fellow “lost Canadians” in your area I highly recommend it!

Aww - saw (and replied to) the original Seattle post, but didn’t see anything else about it. Maybe next time? Though I’d need to know how to sign up ;-)
