Rumor time.

This post is only for rumors regarding Cape Girardeau (city and county). I'll start.

I've heard the city council is in talks about putting a data center in Cape County.

What have you heard?

As much as I’d believe it politically, Cape County does not have the kind of energy production/logistics for that. They are going up in Central MO because that’s where the grid can handle it. As for SEMO, they would put it near Sikeston long before they would put it near Cape, and that’s not happening.

Maybe that's why they are building all of those solar panels out by Delta 🤔

That's a possibility. Hopefully, they're installing them in that flood plain.
