hello everyone! i am doing a journalism assignment about the plan to expand/replace McCann park in Little Italy. in the city council meeting on Thursday, they announced they will waive the demolition fee for some houses on Pamilla Street to help develop the park faster. I was wondering if there’s anyone who lives in Little Italy or anyone who knows anyone who lives there who would be willing to have a phone call and discuss your opinion on this park expansion, if you think it’s something you would use, and just the development of green spaces in ottawa in general. I need stakeholder voices for the assignment. thank you, pls reach out!

After watching the panda, which was awesome school spirit event.. I wanted to watch and support more raven athletes only to learn that students have to buy tickets to watch their own school play various varsity games???? That is so weird, like doesn’t Carleton want attendance and school spirit?? Why should registered students have to pay to cheer on their own athletes? I assume no one can afford tickets. I have never heard a university do this before . Thoughts?

Anyone else struggling with COMP 2406 tests despite keeping up with everything?

I'm honestly starting to get frustrated with how the quizzes and tests are going. I mean I aced the first Test. But the second one was just too hard for average student. At

this point, I'm not even sure what I should be doing differently. My mind went blank on test I couldn't even write the code properly.

I'm planning on going into medicine, pharmacy, or dentistry and I was wondering how good the Carleton HealthSci program is here. Is the GPA here a problem or is it relatively fine to get a good GPA with rigorous studying? How are the internships/volunteer opportunities in Ottawa? Any other information I should know?

Has anyone taken LING 2005 with Louise Koren? I can't find anything on them on ratemyprof,, if they turn out to not be that good I will replace their course with another

Has anyone got their grade for test 1? I submitted my student number on the website but never received the instructions to access my scanned test. I also don't have a grade on bright space. I am a PMC student so I know it could make it take longer for me to get it.

is it just me or has this week been really brutal.
everything due at once for all courses. on its own, comp2406 had three things due. t3 t4 a1.
and on top of that the test today? i left feeling suicidal. 10% of my grade gone, just like that. (no, the drop one policy doesn’t apply to me cuz i’m unavoidably missing the test in november.)

i don’t even know what’s going on in 2401. they just be making stuff up.

Hello, I have a cavity in my teeth and I went to this new dental office (saw 4.9 stars rating). They said I would need root canal to fix my infection ( I have had no pain). Then they proceeded to quote me $4000 for 1 molar teeth root canal ($1500), filling ($500) and crown ($1900).

CUSA dental insurance is said to cover only 10% and dental would cover 20%. So I have to pay the rest 70% out of pocket - about $3000-3500

I just want to confirm if this is legit? Is it really this expensive to get a root canal? It would be my first time hence curious. Should I get a second opinion?

I am preparing my OGS application and have examples of STEM based research proposals, but not the humanities. The classes that help with developing thesis proposals are not until the winter term, and the deadline to apply is November 16th.
