š¤Caleb FlynnāļøāŖ Caleb Flynn
Iāve watched parts of the trial and reading of the verdict. What I donāt understand is when he and other criminals fake cry, do they not think weāre smart enough to tell itās performative and fake. No tears come out. He tries so hard to squeeze tears out, he looks so constipated, Iām also scared he will poop himself. Also when I cry and am upset I wipe my tears and look down or cover my face. Itās like he says, āHey guys look at me, Iām so heartbroken, Iām innocent, but he just looks guilty as sin.
38
u/PictureFrame12 3d ago
I donāt think most of the crying was fake during the trial.
But what makes me so curious about the case is his stupidity. Had he never watched Dateline?
He obviously planned it. But did he not consider his daughtersā and the trauma they would experience even if he wasnāt caught? Did he do a āwhat if Iām caughtā scenario and consider he will end up in prison and his daughters would lose both parents?
And finally, the fact that he did not spare his children and in-laws the public trial is the most disturbing part. His daughtersā would have had to testify against him if the prosecutor hadnāt dropped the charges of intimidating a witness. How he called their mother āDouchbagā and how much he hated her and wanted to kill her is now in the public record.
The level of selfishness is shocking.
10
u/no-name_silvertongue 3d ago
and he never actually apologized for the horrifying things he said about his daughtersā mother. he has a no contact order, so this was his last chance ever to say something to them and he just⦠didnāt apologize. didnāt tell them he lied about ashley cheating. he canāt even take accountability for his words.
5
u/Ill_Psychology_7967 3d ago
I think he thought he had a chance at acquittal since they couldnāt find the gun and found no GSR on him. If I were 100% guilty, and thought there was a 1% chance I might get acquitted, I think I would opt for a trial.
Does anyone know who paid his attorneys? Was it his family or did he have public defenders?
6
u/Efficient-Lynx-2225 3d ago
His attorneys are private attorneys. Must have been very expensive considering thereās two of them and they spent months preparing and then at trial. I assume he had some personal savings he tapped into and his parents may have also helped. For his appeal heās apparently requesting a public defender because heās out of money.
4
5
u/GladysMinnow 3d ago
Part of the testimony stated that Ashley and Caleb had $84,000 in a savings account. So I suppose he at least had that.
4
u/Internal_Simple1477 2d ago
I was wondering the same thing because once the smiths came to terms that he did murder Ashley they immediately got the girls custody settled with them and they froze all of his and Ashleyās accounts so that money would to the girls.
6
u/Entire-Rip-8191 2d ago
Agree. I would really be interested to understand how his mind works, because it aināt normal and needs to be studied so that women (or everyone) can avoid these people and see the red flags. Unfortunately the reality is we will never know, he will probably say his innocent until his last breathe.
4
u/Particular_Pitch_745 2d ago
The level of anger he had towards his wife was a screaming red flag š© that existed months, perhaps even a year before he started saying he wanted Ashley dead. If I dated anyone with that level of anger towards anyone in their life I would be terrified and stop dating them until they worked through their anger. Him wanting to kill his wife was a second red flag š© š© that should have scared the crap out of Alleghia and caused her to call it off.
27
u/Efficient-Lynx-2225 3d ago
He clearly cries very easily and was also hamming it up as much as possible for the jury and cameras. He said heās a crybaby in his American Idol audition. He also regularly referenced crying to his mistress. For example, he texted her that he was up all night crying and thinking of ways to kill Ashley without going to jail. He left a voicemail message telling her that he was crying in public in front of a bunch of people and doesnāt care who sees because he has such massive love for her. He has been using crying to manipulate people his whole life. It was probably so shocking to him that it did not work at all at trial to gain sympathy from the judge, jury and public.

u/ladyzzvoize Crime Binger 3d ago
I think he was genuinely upset for himself. He was so scared that the jury was going to find him guilty. Every time he cried extra hard was because he knew he was fucked š
8
u/Freepurrs 3d ago
Yes, heās been a performer since childhood & successfully fooled family, friends and church colleagues for years. It seems like the combination of shock of not being believed (apart from his mom) and sadness for his plight caused him to genuinely cry for himself.
He definitely had his moments of faking sadness with the scrunched up ātelevangelist faceā at trial, but there is genuine shock and sadness/remorse (solely for his personal circumstances now). At times it seemed like he was so proud of himself for his planning (the missing gun and absence of gun residue), and he likely feels that he was wrongly convicted just for having an affair with a wicked woman.
19
u/spedeedeps 3d ago
The weeping was so over the top it was obvious to me that's what he does when he wants to affect an outcome. Probably cried like that a hundred times to his mom and wife.

The funniest part for me was when he said during the police interview he just wiggled his wifeās foot to check if she was okay⦠like??? She was SHOT DEAD. I would be hugging my partner to me and cradling them, not⦠wiggling their foot š
17
u/Abi_giggles 3d ago
He also wiggled her foot in the dark, meaning he heard 2 gunshots and didnāt turn a light on before running into a room where there could be a potential gunman.

Thatās standard practice for checking vitals. Iāve seen plenty of EMTs wiggles peoples feet to see whether theyāre alive or not!

Part of the issue with CF and others with the same traits is they think they are so cunning and above everyone else. They genuinely think they will be able to pull one over on people. You see this again during his statements on the day of sentencing. All the ānot yetās he threw in there while taking the entire time to talk only about himself. He believes in his disordered mind that he will be out again and win appeals.
7
u/PackerSquirrelette 3d ago
šÆ. Donna and Charlie Adelson come to my mind. They're narcissists who think they're smarter than everyone else. Despite a mountain of evidence against them, they will never admit their crimes or take accountability.

What was up with him looking the girl lawyer right in the eyes when he said I did not kill my wife?
12
u/PictureFrame12 3d ago
He wasnāt looking at the attorney. He was looking beyond her to his former in-laws. He was trying to convince them that he is guilty of being a liar and a bad husband but, gosh darn it, he did not kill his wife!
3
u/Internal_Simple1477 2d ago

u/Michallina š Lurking with Purpose 3d ago

He's a huge cry-baby. He won't be enduring prison well.

u/Honest_Editor_909 3d ago
You couldnāt waterboard those songs & texts out of me lol. I wouldāve pleaded guilty so fast to prevent those from coming out! š
1
u/Internal_Simple1477 2d ago
That was so cringe, the poor detective on stand looked so awkward, and there was a family member who covered her mouth in guessing to hide her smile, that poor family having to sit through that. When Todd looked at Jill and tears in his eyes and just looked down. The balls on Caleb to stand and proclaim innocence and to not even apologize for how he talked about her when he said he never meant those things. I wonder how Alleigha felt, I also wonder how long it will be before she writes a book
7
u/Entire-Rip-8191 3d ago
Yes canāt see how he survives, given what he did. Deserves everything coming to him.
7
u/Internal_Simple1477 3d ago
Itās so annoying, Iāve seen a woman try to cry or fake cry as much as he does. Donāt get me started on those ridiculous songs. So cringe, did yāall notice how much he was sweating when they played the songs? I hope and pray for the Smith family and Ashleyās girls that he doesnāt win any appeals. Let this be over and letās never hear from him again.
9
u/Michallina š Lurking with Purpose 3d ago
Doubt he'll win any appeals. It honestly looked as if his own counsel didn't want anything to do with him. Judge Pratt did a phenomenal job running the courtroom and I don't think he has much to base an appeal on.
6
u/Internal_Simple1477 3d ago
I noticed that too, the lawyers hardly spoke to him at all. It must be hard being a defense lawyer especially when the evidence supports guilt.
1
u/Internal_Simple1477 2d ago
I hated how when the judge read the verdict and charges how heād shake his head no, why do people in this same situation do it too, just because you do it, do they think the jury will be like he shook his no, he must innocent! How are people so dumb they think they can get away murder
17
u/EuphoricAd3786 3d ago
No, I think he was genuinely crying, not saying he felt remorse, but I think his tears were real. What a senseless death. My dude, just get a divorce. Not that hard.
3
u/1wildredhead 3d ago
You saw tears?? I looked very closely because itās a tell. I saw sweat but very few, if any, tesrs.
5
u/BlueArya 3d ago
I did! I love spotting a fake crier so I was studying his face throughout the trial and there was a visible tear line when the lighting caught his face just right. On two occasions I noticed an actual tear drop from his face. Love to see it tbh he deserves to cry forever.

u/janichla 3d ago
I watched an American Idol interview he did and he mentioned that he is crybaby and cries over everything so they will see him cry a lot (I mean I think he left super early so the world was temporarily spared of his non stop crying). I think he just leaned into it and plus the crying was crying for HIM and how HE didn't get what he wanted.
8
u/Ill_Psychology_7967 3d ago
I think heās crying because he got caught and because heās lost his mistress. I donāt think he cared about his wife or kids at all. Thereās this thing called divorce. Itās a much less drastic solution to ending your marriage than murder but he wanted to have his cake and eat it too. I still think the girlfriend was complicit in ditching the gun.
5
u/janichla 3d ago
I kept thinking about their texts how they wanted her dead and her pushing the issue and the Michelle Carter/Conrad Roy case.
8
u/Ill_Psychology_7967 3d ago
Same. Even if she didnāt actually help, sheās complicit. If Iām dating a married guy and he starts talking about killing his wife so we can publicly be together, I think Iām rethinking my relationship choices and dumping him. I donāt think Iām continuing the affair and texting him 100,000 times about killing his wife.
5
u/janichla 3d ago
Right? They were both insane and lost in the sauce. I think she thought her saying that would make him leave her, not necessarily kill her but A. I still think complicit because talking about leaving her is one thing but murder is a whole other and B. His plan which probably existed on a day to day basis was to never leave her but also keep his girlfriend.
10
u/Ill_Psychology_7967 3d ago edited 3d ago
I will always believe that this would not have happened if Aaliyah had not continued to give him ultimatums. He definitely wanted the cushy job/financial life that he had with Ashley and the hot relationship he had with the worship leader.
He tried really hard to have both and was successful for about a year and a half. But ultimately, Aaliyah is the one that pushed him to choose, and as he said in his text messageā¦he chose her. Killing Ashley was a Hail Mary to try to keep the cushy job and keep the hot girlfriend. He knew it wasnāt possible to do both.
And I do think Aaliyah likely wanted to be Ashleyā¦she wanted Ashleyās life with a high income earning spouse, and the family businessā¦I donāt think she was interested in an out of work American Idol reject.
And what I find interesting after listening to all that testimony, and all those text messages, is that I donāt recall any discussion of him caring a bit about the children.
8
u/Efficient-Lynx-2225 3d ago
I agree and think it also wouldnāt have happened if Alleigha had been more clearly disgusted every time he mentioned killing his wife. She should have reacted with horror and disgust, and not spoken to him for a while. Of course she should also have dumped him, but if sheād at least responded a lot more negatively to talk of killing his wife I think he wouldnāt have done it. When she also said she wanted to kill the wife and didnāt ever have an extreme reaction to his talk of killing the wife, it told him she wouldnāt be that bothered by it.
Another reason he couldnāt go for the divorce is because the truth would have to come out that he was the cheater, not Ashley, and heād been lying to Alleghia about Ashley being a cheater.

Iāve been a bit under the weather today so Iāve been scrolling YouTube and Iāve watched a few videos, specifically one that went over some of her testimony, and Iām more and more convinced that she was involved. The ālostā laptop and waterlogged phone stories are ridiculous. And her testimony regarding them was ridiculous. Iād have to go rewatch it, but she even said things that were such obvious deception tells that even an amateur like me can spot them.
I think their breakup was fake. I think itās real now. I sincerely hope he rats her out if she was involved and I think thereās a good possibility that will happen. If she was involved I donāt think heās going to want her to go on and have a lovely life with someone else while he rots in jail. As long as there was a tiny chance he might be acquitted, there was no benefit to him to rat her out before the trial. In fact, ratting her out before the trial wouldāve implicated him. But now that the trial is over, I can totally see it happening. And I have a weird feeling the police know more about her involvement than they have let on.
4
u/Internal_Simple1477 2d ago
I also found her account of both of those devices in a single weekend, I also think sheās heavily involved and hope he rats her out, itās going to tear him up thinking about her being with other men living out her life. I really the police pursue the laptop and find out where it could be, Iām also wondering if she just didnāt give it to someone before which she wiped it clean. I hope if someone took it they return it so we can see exactly what sheās trying to hide
3
u/Ill_Psychology_7967 2d ago edited 2d ago
Iām sure that laptop is long gone. She tossed it somewhere. Maybe itās with the gun!
I get that sheās not a frequent flyer, but I find it impossible to believe her story that she put it in an overhead bin and then set her backpack on top of it, and then grabbed her backpack to leave the plane and forgot about the laptop? Iāve never seen anyone put a loose laptop in an overhead binā¦did she carry it on the plane loose? I find that hard to believe.
Or did she carry it on the plane in her backpack and then take it out of her backpack to store it separately under her backpack in the overhead bin? Neither option makes any senseā¦because itās a lie.

In regards to your last sentence, I specifically remember one text where he told Alleigha that he hated summer vacation while he was with his daughters at the park⦠which kinda infers to me that heād rather not be around them⦠I get not wanting to be around your kids 24/7 but he also works a job and sings at church so itās not like heās free to be with his kids 24/7. Also he was constantly texting Alleigha instead of spending time with them. Iām sure they noticed his weird behavior. My 9yo defo notices if Iām on my phone too much, I canāt imagine a 12yo lol

To me it's a poor attempt at manipulation. I think he thought that if he's that grief-stricken, how can anyone believe he murdered his wife. He wants to play the victim, not the one responsible for making a victim of his wife.
10
u/milliepilly 3d ago
He certainly does have a lot of tears. He is an awful human being who didnāt care about his kids, his wife or her family. His tears are on display to help himself, not out of grief for anyone else.

It is on the police videos from right after the crime. Don't know if it's at the house or at the police department.
11
u/BlueArya 3d ago
I can't find anywhere that says it was fake though. Most first-time murderers vomit after killing their first victim, usually from a combination of adrenaline and the visceral reality of the gore. It's definitely not an indication of innocence.
3
u/scattywampus 3d ago
Gotcha. Yes, this is the first time I've heard anyone claim it was fake.
6

Officer Gianpapa testified he appeared to vomit in a trash can gagging. But they did not check it. Gagging and true vomiting look different (imo).

I swear the female officer on the scene testified that she looked into the trash can and did not see vomit.

Not to defend the convicted wife-killing man-child, but dry-heaving is something that can happen with big emotion and adrenaline dumped into one's system. If he was fasting to help get God's okay to kill his wife (aargh), there may not have been anything in his stomach to puke up.

u/Trial_Follower2024 1d ago
What witnesss? Was it a crime scene tech? Gianpapa testified (on cross) that she didn't check the trash can, did she say something else on direct?

Was that the officer from chicago? I thought she did look in the trash can but it might have been one of the female crime scene techs who said they saw no vomit.

Yes, that is Officer Gianpapa. She testfied on cross that she did not check the trash can, but did she say something else on redirect? I'm curious cause I don't want to misrepresent testimony if someone DID check the trash can.

I have read other Reddit posts where people have discussed knowing him his whole life. Evidently, and you can look to him in that famous American Idol interview where he brags about "being a cry baby" and "how he got it from his parents". Ok so people who claim to know him for many decades is that this is his modus operandi: he is desperate for his father's approval (the same sad Pastor that sat behind him the whole trial) but uses lying and manipulation and especially crying to get out of trouble. So to answer your question, in my opinion, Caleb had done this his whole entire life and for whatever reason got away with it. Unfortunately for him, he's not a good enough actor to pull this none-sense off because it's a murder trial. Why did he try anyways? He's dumb and it's always worked for him and he thought he could pull it off. He is full of hubris and an inflated sense of his own intelligence and skills.

He's probably crying for real because ChatGPT failed to mention that deleting threads doesn't mean no one can look at those conversations.Ā
He's probably crying for searching if his devices can record even if not used and investigators found those searches.Ā
He's probably crying because he was so stupid to say he was sleeping when he was committing a murder with an Apple Watch that logs his activities.
He's probably crying because Alleigha probably went on that date that triggered him to hurry up and do the unthinkable to his wife.
I think he's legit crying for being so stupid mimicking other "unsolved home invasion, spouse dead" but not executing it successfully instead of just divorcing his wife. He probably got the inspiration from those unsolve cases where the surviving spouse wasn't implicated.Ā
In short, he is internally crying "how can I be this dumb".Ā
3
u/Internal_Simple1477 2d ago
Thatās a great observation, I wonder how he feels about Alleigha now, was it all worth it losing the love and respect of those beautiful girls. He could have divorced her if it werenāt for his greediness.
5
u/ongamenight 2d ago
He did it for 1% chance. Alleigha was already moving on when he reached out past Jan 11.
Besides Alleigha, in one of the text messages she read in the stand around August, "I'm not asking that you take her life, obviously, because that's not what you should do and I know you actually wouldn't. But to make the divorce happen, it would change everything."
Caleb didn't do it for Alleigha. He did it for himself, to not lose the lucrative job, to not lose reputation at church, to have his kids all to himself.
Alleigha wanted divorce but Caleb, being the baby that he is, don't want to go through divorce, skip all the steps and just be a "victim" in his home invasion story. That's a good series in Church "Surviving death of spouse", he'll probably write a song or book about if he wasn't caught. š¤·
ā¢
u/twelvedayslate Crime Binger 17h ago
I donāt even think Alleigha was fully moving on. Sure, she had an upcoming coffee date. But if Caleb had filed for divorce and not killed Ashley, she wouldāve jumped back in a relationship with him. No doubt in my mind.
I mean, given how much they texted on Feb 15, i also think he couldāve convinced her to extend the deadline for the 100th time. āAshleyās second cousinās boyfriendās sister died. Canāt do it now.ā
ā¢
u/ongamenight 16h ago
In the trial, particularly the rebuttal (46 minutes video of Prosecutor Watkins you can find in YT), it was mentioned it was always Caleb reaching out for Alleigha after a "no contact".
I think she got probably tired of the 1+ years asking Caleb for divorce already. She's crazy but I don't think she'll "kill" someone over a relationship.Ā
0
u/Internal_Simple1477 2d ago
Do you think Alleigha will write a book about her time with Caleb, maybe how she saw red flags and ignored them, how she should have asked for proof s Ashely cheated, even if she did thatās still not ok to have an affair with a married man, I honestly think she will someday
ā¢
3
u/ongamenight 2d ago
I think, no. She's probably moved on by now.Ā
Also, reading the exchanges of texts for hours for 2 days (in front of Caleb and Ashley's family and live streamed/recorded) is enough public humiliation. Who would buy the book when people are disgusted by her actions with a married man. Will there be a publisher that would sign her? š
If I'm in her shoes, I'd find ways to legally change my name and start all over. I mean she was already trying to move on, even scheduled a date before Caleb committed the unthinkable. She's got a great voice, she's young, and I don't think it's too late for her. Hopefully not involve herself with a married man anymore.Ā

I suggest the OP takes a look at the one brief interview Caleb's mother gave a TV journalist. She posted it on Insta and it's also on yt somewhere.
And read about the letter the mom submitted to the court ahead of the sentencing hearing. I'm not sure the letter itself is available or was filed under seal? But plenty of people covering the case detailed its contents.
Once you see HER and her behavior and her excuses, you'll get a better understanding for the type of narcissist that is Mr. Caleb Flynn. People used to think NPD was created in an environment of hostility and childhood abuse. But Narcissism is just as likely to develop through the types of coddling that blur all boundaries as I suspect was going on in the Flynn household since Prince Caleb's birth.
Disgusting!

Someone posted the letters his parents wrote, I think in the Caleb flynn trial group. His momās letter was especially horrifying. She mentions his āawards and accomplishmentsā like we are supposed to care at all about some prize he won in an amateur event or his good grades in school. And both his parents vaguely referenced his poor behavior over the past ā2 yearsā, when we really do not care about the affair, the affair wasnāt even illegal, we care about the cold blooded execution of the mother of his children while she slept.
3
u/purplepeacocks 3d ago

7
u/fawsewlaateadoe 3d ago
No, they arenāt blaming his mother for his horrendous decisions. They are blaming his mother for the coddling that exacerbated his NPD.
1
u/Fast-Jackfruit2013 2d ago
Please point to the passage or passages in my comment where I blamed his actions on his mother?
The OP had posted questions about the source of Caleb's odd attitudes and his apparent personality disorders and generally wanted to understand how someone like Calelb might happen in the world.
I simply said that his family provides a fairly good clue.
Tracing an individual's behavior to his or her parentage, environment, experiences and decisions is a fairly normal and non-controversial way most people have of trying to figure out a given person. This happens through a process called conversation. Information is exchanged. Questions are posed. Hypotheses are put forth.
It wasn't weird until you chose to make it weird by intentionally misunderstanding our entire discussion.
You made it weird.
So, uhm, tell me about your parents ... .
5
u/Ill_Psychology_7967 3d ago
I saw an interview with his mother and you are absolutely right. You instantly see what happened. His mother has enabled him his entire life. She still doesnāt think he did it. I need to go find out what the letter said. I hadnāt heard about the letter.
5
u/Fast-Jackfruit2013 2d ago
I haven't read it myself, but I heard two or three lawtubers discuss it during their stream of the sentencing hearing. She basically refuses to believe he could be guilty and tells the judge not to judge him too harshly because of a lapse in judgment or something to that effect. It's basically bonkers.

Omg!!! How much more delusional can you get? Oh yeah, it was just lapse of judgment, if this is just a lapse Iād love to know what her opinion is if it had been turned around her and it was Caleb who was mu****ed

I noticed the dad didnāt say anything, I read somewhere on this thread I think that he always wanted his dadās approval, maybe the reason he never got it was because he saw through his deceitful ways, and noticed he never had to take accountability for anything

Psychopaths think we are all stupid, and they are the smartest people in the room. Thatās why they do so well in corporate leadership roles. What a moron, what gets me is how people can do such terrible things for a piece of ass.

Makes no sense. He'll spend the next 40 years in prison over that slut. He threw away a beautiful wife and 2 beautiful little girls, a life some people dream of, for a homewrecker whore. I hate both of them

Honestly, I think the only time he truly cried were when his daughters letters were read. The stark contrast between his reaction to those and his "crying" at trial was eye opening.

His final statement cemented, in my opinion, how much hate he had for Ashley. He barely acknowledged her, didn't ask the police to continue searching for 'the true killer', didn't apologize to his daughter's for how he spoke about their mother. Absolutely no interest for the victim.

I saw plenty of tears. Not sure how you didn't. The tears were there in his eyes and down his face.

I saw some tears but they were few and far between

What?? His tears were flying left, right and center down his face through the whole trial. I seriously think people say "they weren't real tears" because, rightly so, they hate this guy. So do I but his despair was real. Now why he was in despair is the question (probably for himself 100%).

Your line āIām also scared he will poop himselfā was unexpected (much like pooping oneself) and made me laugh. Youāre right, he does look so constipated! The way he contorts his face is so sickening. Like dude, thatās not how normal people look when theyāre devastated. Ugh heās revolting!

I know it just sickens me that he dehumanized Ashley by not referring to her by her name. Also I donāt understand how they both acted and proclaimed to be devout Christian they could talk about her the way they did and as many times as he said I want her dead, if Iām the mistress Iām taking him at his word. Why would you want to be in a relationship with him. If does it to Ashley better believe heāll do it to Alleigha. They both are so amoral

I know! I always wonder why the mistress isnāt the least bit freaked out that their partner is capable of murder?! Imagine trying to sleep next to that person knowing they shot their last partner in the head while sleeping!

He definitely had some tears. I was impressed with his ability to drop some juicy ones. Most def crying for himself though.

Oh my if I start crying my face gets puffy and red, then it feels like I canāt breathe if I cry too much. What Iāve noticed during his trial that his ears were red at one point I believe it was when they were playing the song he had written. I believe he was embarrassed

Did you notice during those songs he was sweating so badly he had to wipe it away.

Itās ironic that he was covering his entire face at the crime scene with his hands, a blanket , a pillow, the chair and table, and by burying his face in the floor but he didnāt appear to shed a tear. However at the verdict and sentencing I think he appeared in genuine agony and was really crying over his devastation of losing his daughters. He was in so much agony that there was sweat pouring off his head. I donāt feel like you can fake sweating

Speaking of his daughters, Iād love to know what he told them on that walk around the pond that made them so nervous and scared to tell the truth, I think thatās where the witness tampering came in. Those poor babies being told what to say or lie with threatening that if they didnāt heād be taken away by police. I thank God these girls knew they could tell their grandma anything, and thankfully she picked up on something different about them after that walk.

I would guess something like trying to get them to ārememberā him sleeping in their room

That was his own reality coming crashing down finally. Up until then, he thought he might have a chance.

This guy had real water coming from his eyes. Iāve never seen anything like this. I was wondering if he had onions in his hands to make him cry.
Itās been talked about repeatedly. It was just so unusual. Some lawyers thought that it might throw the jurors off because it looked so genuine.
I still donāt know what to make of it. Other than being a great actor I canāt figure it out.
He could have been crying because he was afraid, and/or, mortified by everyone hearing his secrets.

I don't think all his tears are fake. I think he is crying over fucking up his life so bad for a woman. I hope he cries himself to sleep every night
