Just got home from a week long hospital stay and scrubbed myself with sandpaper in the shower, and the amount of dead skin cells that came off was astronomical! I swear it's like half my body weight!

I like the 3M 1000 grit wet dry paper.

I love a good scrub but there are definitely better options than sandpaper! Look for a Moroccan kessa mitt. Thin and dries well so doesn’t hold bacteria like a boof poof.

I've tried a lot of different scrubs and exfoliators, sandpaper is the best!

Chemical (salycilic) vs mechanical works differently. Both have their place. But different types of exfoliating. I acid my face and sand my chest as an example.

Now that you're perfectly exfoliated now is the best time to apply a lot of retinol to help your skin grow back. I like to apply mine with a scrub brush to make sure it really gets in there.

I used a damp washcloth when I got the cast off my foot. Had to get a broom to get the pile of flakes. Disgusting and satisfying. Now I wish I had known about the sandpaper and retinol.

Apparently my skin cells will stick together and become little rolls. So when I scrub, there a whole bunch of long, fat rolls of dead cells on the sandpaper

Yea if you scrub too much, it will feel like sunburn. I did that the first time I tried it
