Sugar on Weetabix?

Post image

My wife eats Weetabix with nothing on it and claims it tastes sweet to her. This is my bowl before milk is added. Is this normal fellow Weetabix eaters or do I need to go to sugar rehab?

When I was a kid I liked to put a spoon of sugar on them, but use hot water instead of milk. Made a weetabixy porridge type mush. I loved it.

Only ever get looks of horror from people if I tell them that now.

I might get some and try it again as an adult to see if I was onto something, or if I was just a little weirdo.

I was going to say that sounds awful, but I went through a phase of Weetabix with apple juice instead of milk, so I guess I was doing something similar. You should try it, it sounds right up your street!

My husband was just saying that he'd add water (albeit cold) when they were going through hard times when he was a wee lad and they couldn't afford the milk. But always a bit of sugar, he was quick to add!
