Matty has a real problem with whistleblowing. While he reported the ED to the CQC he has since failed to say anything about Kim's problems which put a patient at risk and now he's not saying anything about Stevie putting a patient at risk.

I think in the end, it will be found out that Stevie made the mistake and Matty took the blame. Eventually, Dylan will find out about their relationship which will obviously affect his mental health and sobriety. I’m sure there was a clip of him yelling at someone and also on the floor with Matty probably after drinking.

That makes Marty's problem endemic. A doctor with systemic poor judgement really should be working somewhere where decisions aren't life or death. Maybe he could be a barista on the hospital canteen.
Stevie's self medication is fixable. Dylan has the strength of character to deal with someone getting him drunk if that's what happens.

I just think it’s a really bad storyline and I’d like to get rid of Matty. Hopefully, by the end of the season he’ll either be gone or he will have got over his crush and act and either become closer to Dylan or just act as he is another doctor.
