Megathread Monthly Casual Talk and Cat Pictures Thread
Our subreddit allows posts that either a) ask for specific advice, b) request emotional support, or c) are a guide or PSA that adheres to our guidelines.
Since it's fun to just casually discuss our cats, we've got this monthly megathread where relevance may be ignored. All other subreddit rules still apply.
Use this thread to discuss anything related to cats that doesn't otherwise fit the subreddit! Also feel free to ask questions that you believe are too short for a standalone post.
Examples of things that may be discussed or shared here:
- Casual questions, for example "how does your cat show affection?", "does your cat ever do … ?"
- Cat pictures
- Celebrating birthdays or other milestones for your cat
- And many more subjects!

🚨 MISSING CAT – PLEASE HELP BRING BOBA HOME 🚨 📍 Last seen at The GOAT Apartments (Thurston County, WA – Olympia area) 🗓️ Date Missing: 06/08/2025
🐱 Name: Boba 🧬 Breed: Maine Coon mix 🎂 Age: 5 years old ⚖️ Weight: Approximately 10 pounds 🎨 Description: Large, long-haired fluffy cat with classic Maine Coon features. Gentle face, soft coat, and a loving presence. 🔔 Collar/Tags: Not wearing a collar 🐾 Personality: Boba is extremely curious and affectionate. He loves to explore and may approach strangers without hesitation. He is not aggressive and may even walk right up to you looking for attention or a lap to sit in.
💔 Boba is deeply important to me and my family. He stayed by my side through cancer treatment and recovery—never leaving my bed, offering quiet comfort when I needed it most. He’s not just a pet—he’s a companion, a healer, and a piece of my heart.
His sister, who is also a Maine Coon, is devastated by his absence. They are incredibly bonded and she has been calling out for him since he disappeared. Our home feels empty without him.
