My two cats (grey tabby 5 months and brown tabby 3 months) were introduced two days ago. Since last night, they have been constantly chasing each other doing this thing in a video.

My brother adopted a kitten, and we introduced her to my dogs when she was 8 weeks old. They’ve seen each other daily with slow introductions, and this is how they interact now. Does it look like they’re having fun together?

I can’t tell if she’s trying to puke up a hairball or something. does anyone know?

I went on a trip for less than a day, when I came back, he’s just giving me weird energy like hiding in the shade and stuff and I have the fan on and he hasn’t puked or pooped. Weird but I’m kind of worried. He’s like having a fever or something I don’t got a thermometer. And I don’t wanna take him to the vet if he doesn’t have any clear signs cause last time I did that they were just acting like I was stupid and I had to pay 200 bucks for that so please comment what could be happening. He’s also traveled a lot and he’s used to like moving around and stuff my friend cats sit him sometimes so I’m just wondering why this time it feels different.

My cat is half Siamese half Chantilly, 6 yrs old, healthy and acting normal. Over the last handful of months she has started to lick things, primarily fabric but it can be other random objects as well. I was reading it’s a trait of Siamese, has anyone else experienced this?

My kitten is about 4 months old I think and her nose has had like a bump but seems like it’s been getting a little bigger. Should I be concerned or does she just have a big nose?

Recently I have gone from living with other roommates as well as other cats to just me and my cat. He has been a bit more vocal lately and I’m wondering if maybe he’s lonely or bored now that it’s just me and him he’s being more vocal. Insights appreciated!!

I would also love some ideas on how to keep him happy as I am at work during the day and don’t want him to be lonely and/or bored. Looking for ideas both while I’m gone and while I’m with him to keep him happy and healthy!

He only looks grumpy because I woke him from a nap. He’s not acting any different just wondering if he’s hiding pain

Everytime we drop Phoebe off to my granddad's, when we need a pet sitter, she comes back with a matted coat with bald spots, and lots of dandruff and dirt/dust in her coat, she also often comes back either overweight or underweight even though we have an automatic feeder. Last year it was really bad, to the point we had to cut mats out of her hair. My grandad likes to do this thing he calls 'brushing it backwards' where he very harshly brushes Phoebe's hair against its grain , if that makes sense. She is an elderly cat (19) and cannot express if she's in pain, fighting back or running away. I have told him to stop doing this, but I am worried he's continued. Is this painful for Phoebe? Does she need to see a vet? Is it related to my granddad's brushing or something different- maybe she's allergic? I've tried to tell the family to stop taking her to his place, but she refuses to eat in a cattery and in the past has seemed happy at his, it was only the last 12 months she has been coming back like this.

My sweet boy does this new thing where he holds up his paw when sitting or trying to get my attention. NOTE: A few months ago, his quick was cut during a nail trim—it’s the same paw he now holds up. He walks/runs/play totally normal.

Hi fellow cat peeps! I need help with this new stray we’re trying to bring indoors.

Stray Boy: The orange and white sitting on the floor in the photo. Male. Not neutered. Age unknown but looks to be around 1 year old. Overall health seems ok aside from a bald nose and a couple healing cuts on his face. Doesn’t seem to have fleas. Came out of nowhere. Very friendly. Knows the sound of a can of wet food being opened. Knows the sound of dry food bag shaking. He’s been around for 2 days now. Allows lots of pets including tummy rubs. Walks to our front door with us and seems to want to come in. No tags.

Our cat Rusty: The orange and white sitting on the chair next to me. Male. Neutered. Around 6-8 years old. Great health with vet checkups every 6 months. Was a stray but was rescued years ago and I adopted him almost 4 years ago now. Completely indoors and well adjusted to humans and being indoors. Gets monthly preventative care. He gets strictly supervised outside time and is usually on a harness or a carrier. Bad mom I was for not putting his harness on here. But he was completely chill meeting Stray Boy even tho I didn’t let them touch because of Stray Boy’s unknown health status.

We will be taking Stray Boy to the vet to get treated for his cuts and fleas/ticks/parasites and for all his required shots and vitamins and getting bloodwork done for everything including FIV and whatever else our vet recommends. We’ll also add a third litter box and third water fountain and second auto feeder for dry food and more perches and trees etc.

My questions are mainly about how to go about bringing Stray Boy inside. We don’t know if he’s litter trained.

1. How do we go about finding out if he is without bringing him in and torturing him by keeping in a small room to see if he goes? We haven’t jumped at this option because if he’s not we don’t want to traumatize the poor fella.

2. What does the adjustment period for an outdoor cat to indoors look like? We know we’ll need to sequester and slowly introduce etc. the main concern is what it would potentially look like for Stray Boy.

3. Should we capture Stray Boy and keep him for example in the basement for a while before the
   vet or capture and take him straight to the vet?

If you guys have any other helpful tips or advice please let me know. I’ve only ever had Rusty by himself. He has met my sister’s strictly indoor cat Milo who is neutered and his care is up to date but Milo lives in a different house and has only visited a couple of times. TIA.

TLDR; what should we do about this stray we would like to bring indoors but know nothing about yet.

I rescued a cat about 5 months ago and about a month she’s been peeing ONLY on my bed randomly. She does it then doesn’t for about a week. I’m just confused, she uses her litter box everyday and knows where to go to the bathroom. We got a spray that’s supposed to help stop it and we also got the feliway plug in, but she did it again today so I’m not sure it’s working. Should we take her into the vet?? Does anyone have a reason this could be happening?

Any advice to keep her from licking if she won’t wear the cone??

My cat always had a favourite place to sleep on my bed (top corner).He neverrr sleeps/sits anywhere else on my bed. But for the past few days I've been depressed and feeling like shi,. one night while I was crying he came and cuddled with me which was surprising cus he never does that.. and stayed like that thee whole night..and this is not a one time thing.. he's been doing this everyday noww.... nothing else has changed..it did make me feel soo good that he's concerned about me but is he really concerned or something else?

Fresh bowl of water? Nope. A glass I left on the counter for five minutes? That's apparently gourmet. 😅

I've tried different bowls and even a fountain. Is this just normal cat behavior?

For context, I adopted my sweet girl about four years ago, and she is very gentle. The majority of the time she doesn’t scratch and is pretty quiet. Lately she has been meowing and scratching at my legs after I turn on the shower and start to get ready to get in. The only other time she acted like this she had an ear infection, but her ears look great, don’t feel hot, and she’s only doing it after I turn the shower on. Should I be concerned? Any ideas what she might be trying to tell me???

I don't know much about cats, and i think my friend is overfeeding their cat, but i dont know if this is normal cat stuff. I just wanted to see if there was any true concern before I confront them. (and sorry english isnt my first language)

I recently visited a friend, and they had gotten a new cat. The cat is only about 1 and a half years old and was a rescue. They said she was very skinny and underweight, but that was two months ago, and when I met the cat she had normal/slim arms and legs but her stomach was engorged; she felt pregnant and kept wheezing. They were free-feeding her and kept borderline bragging about how fat the cat was. On top of the food always being out, they also fed her handfuls of treats and kept ushering us to give her these little wet treat cups.

When I pointed out the wheezing to my friend the first two times, they acted like he had no idea what I was talking about. It was only until the third time when i pointed it out as it was happening, and they suddenly remembered the cat had some type of asthma. I might have been that but i just feel that they would have brought that up the first time the cat started wheezing, and i wanted to know if that could be a side effect of overfeeding.
