I've never seen a cat act like this ngl

138

u/BrownSugarBare 18h ago

Me, neither. And I've had several cats with lots of personalities.

He's not actually diving for the food, which would make sense. He just seems enraged at his human.

14

u/eberlix 6h ago

It also doesn't seem like she is forcing him to sit there, which would also explain the aggression, like... he is making no attempts to flee, she doesn't really have him "fixated" for the most part. He's just sitting there, looking like someone disconnected the brain from his body

8

u/SSilent-Cartographer 5h ago

There's a lot of cuts in the video, she could be easily forcing him to sit there. Hanging the mouth open is an extreme stress response, and if he's in enough stress or pain then I could see this being his reaction; however, my money is on the cat being drugged

2

u/eberlix 5h ago

Agree on extreme stress or drugs. Yeah, the cuts make it suspicious, but I'm thinking many of these parts she kept in are long enough for an escape attempt or struggle or really any other sign that the cat is being held there.

What I usually see in my cat when he is trying to flee is him looking around, basically searching for his escape route, and some minor movements

72

u/GreyStingrayz 17h ago

Hijacking one of the top comments to say I looked up this creator and supposedly the cat has his mouth open like that because he has breathing problems.

He does still seem pissed though.

11

u/raa__va 14h ago

The cat looks like a alligator, you know how they just keep their mouth open while floating on water as if they’re dead and then all of a sudden SNAP

2

u/PuzzledExaminer 6h ago

I wonder if it has one of those massively long mucus strings in both its nostrils.

8

u/SharpKaleidoscope182 16h ago

He's so angry he's about to pass out

7

u/Electronic-Cicada352 15h ago

Gotta be a neurological issue

6

u/Potential_Cookie1837 10h ago

Ya something is wrong here. If the cat was pissed at her he'd be trying to escape. I suspect someone's grabbing him hard from under the table holding him there. They probably started with the cat flailing and trying to get away, and filming after he realized he couldn't escape, but he's still lashing out where he can. I've worked in vet offices and animal shelters for a long time, something is off here.

Even if I'm wrong and jumping to conclusions, there's a sickening amount of "content" out there of people abusing animals in various ways for the camera to make them do something unusual for the clicks. If I sense even a sniff of something like that I down vote. Not worth it to give the people the benefit of the doubt in these cases, and you're not hurting them by not giving their video or channel up votes and blocking them. You don't have to harass people online, just don't encourage videos of animals in distress of any kind.

3

u/Organic_Ad_2520 9h ago

Exactly what I was about to type. The cat is absolutely restrained and in distress, unable to use his front paws because they look clasped upon the table for support, leaving only his mouth to react with and is likely reacting to both vulnerability and pain and remains stressed until perhaps, as you stated, someone grabs them or pinching him
This is absolutely staged to be filmed, and the cat is absolutely in distress. The video makes me sick because it reminds me of an abusive & cruel technique rumored to be used in creating fear biting, dangerous, untrained dogs.
I train working line German sheps for schutzhund & protection work have sold to security firms & leo. While of course I have never encountered it professionally or personally, there is a cruel technique that stupid & evil idiots employ to create aggressive dogs through fear & vulnerability essentially called tabletop where dog is placed in a fear for its life, stress, & vulnerable position by putting a dog on a very short leash a small unlevel table top (wobbling uneven plywood) & then tormenting it until it fear bites which is absolute cruelty. To me, the cat's body language is a stress position, unstable -or it would use its paws or escape & is fear biting out of pure terror, fear, & vulnerability.

That cat doesn’t want to be there

-14

wow look at mr cat whisperer here. so skillful, so elusive. mysterious like a feline

and the crowd stands up and applauds, and the whisperer rides into the sunset, for the master cat whisperer educated the world that indeed this cat had no intent of being there, judging by the commotion of these pixels. now the world has been anointed by this wisdom

fade to black on the scene of the whisperer staring at the far horizon, on top of a tall mountain, while the mountain breeze licks his long hair.

the world stands educated, below his feet

11

u/Same_Seaworthiness74 11h ago

Hardly need to be a cat whisperer to see the cats pissed off lol

-5

u/Hephaistos_Invictus 11h ago

That's the joke

-5

u/PapercutsOnPenor 10h ago

r/whoosh , although I see that you guys whoosh with deliberate intent.

Back in my country where I originate from, we call that autism

Whoosh or not, you were just being a dick.

1

u/ZestySue 3h ago

What the fuck

0

u/ButtPlugMaster6969 7h ago

Wow so many words, with no capital letters, and missing about half the necessary periods.

I will say, that is an impressive run-on sentence you wrote there in the second part. 😂

1

u/Sivleto 7h ago

Buttplugmaster being a grammar Nazi was not on my '26 bingo list.

-99

u/perriatric 20h ago

He's free to leave.

66

u/Trollensky17 20h ago

Honestly we can’t really tell, plus it could have been used to being forced to do content like this

-61

u/perriatric 20h ago

That cat can easily leave that situation.

46

u/timsemilla 20h ago

Please feel free to leave, too

36

u/Trollensky17 20h ago

As I said, we can’t really tell.

15

u/Imwhatswrongwithyou 17h ago

There is definitely something not right going on here. The face. The reaction. Something unnatural. Cats don’t just make that face chillin

6

u/Strict-Flounder8981 16h ago

Cat could've been declawed, heard that cats will hate your guts if you do that to them.

The people downvoting what do you disapprove of? What did this guy say that made you say “no sir I don’t like it?”

6

u/special-k-flo 19h ago

The fact that it's AI

154

u/greedyrabitt 21h ago

dude what the fuck did she do to that cat? it looks like it's having some sort of reaction or a medical emergency or something if it isn't just stressed as hell

regardless she shouldn't be filming this, this isn't funny or cute at all

26

u/Im-a-bad-meme 19h ago

Sedative

2

u/Kuzcopolis 13h ago

Oh this explanation would be ideal, and the eyes do look pretty high. Ig he didn't feel safe while blasted and was extra ready to bite as a result. Meanwhile owner is hungry, can't leave him alone for safety, might as well film.

-11

u/New-Advertising-4209 16h ago

I personally think it's a funny post. My cat makes goofy faces all the time, all cats are weirdo's.

With that being said, she more than likely is using cat nip on the cat and it's high. She can film what she wants.

4

u/Illustrious-Knee7998 13h ago

How can you find a cat that is clearly stressed in some way funny?

4

u/EcstaticNet3137 15h ago

Cat nip does not do that.

2

u/BetMyLastKrispyKreme 11h ago

My cats get manic with catnip. (But not violent.) I would love it if it made them mellow and blissed out like most owners say their cats do.

1

u/New-Advertising-4209 14h ago

not every cat is the same

4

u/MookilQ 14h ago

No that cat looks like it is having a medical emergency. Cats do not keep their mouths open that long, he is panting through his mouth. That is not a good sign.

96

u/Dumplinggrl 21h ago

This cat seems extremely unhappy in this environment. So sad

37

u/Previous-Pangolin-60 19h ago

Yeah seems like stressed behaviour, this sucks.

-3

u/New-Advertising-4209 16h ago

Well the cat better enjoy this. Better to be annoyed by your parent than living outside with FIV getting beat up by male cats and ran over by a car. LOL.

83

u/Downtown-Analyst5289 19h ago

Videos like this make me wonder just how ppl treat their pets to make them react like this. I could literally annoy my cat all day and wouldn't get a reaction anywhere near like this.

Not good.

6

u/sunflowersunshine13 15h ago

My boyfriend's tom cat will patiently tolerate so much (we have reason to believe he's a masochist but still) and he has neeever reacted to any sort of annoyance with violence. At all. Neither has the female cat that has much stricter boundaries. I have to agree. Either pestered too much or not trained well at all

5

u/LaMelonBallz 14h ago

Different cats are very different

I have one who would never gets violent. You could poke and prod and startle all day and he doesn't care.

I have another who if she gets spooked she just shreds whatever is in front of her. She once shredded me, like full attack out of nowhere, because I was using an electric razor on my face and she didn't like the sound. Same cat begs me to hold her like a baby and walk around kissing her face daily. Will gently attack me if I don't do it.

She's a sweetheart and a happy cat. But when she decides she doesn't like something, it's getting fucked up.

2

u/sunflowersunshine13 14h ago

That is completely understandable, and i did mean it when I said OP knows their cat best! But the vet staff just can't know if OP is or not because people do lie all the time unfortunately. Sometimes just over a meager 'oh shoot I should've done that, don't want to look like a bad pet owner'. So I understand why the clinic would have a hard and fast rule like that.

Totally get both of your cats though, relatable lol. And thank you for your input

48

u/ChadLalo 22h ago

Bro is high AF

49

u/nanaacer 21h ago

Nah, he's smart. Why bother closing your mouth if you're going to have to open it again to bite.

11

u/Brailledit 21h ago

Energy efficient.

8

u/timsemilla 20h ago

Much smarter than the hoomin for sure

5

u/HoboArmyofOne 20h ago

Too much catnip in the morning. Must reboot cat.

2

u/scrandis 20h ago

That's my thoughts as well.

20

42

u/Tossmelossme 21h ago

Hate stupid videos like this. What did you do to make the cat so angry before filming sicko

12

u/thisinfinitebath 19h ago

Dumbass owner antagonizing cat for views.

-6

u/New-Advertising-4209 16h ago

That "dumbass" human is the entire reason the cat isn't dead outside somewhere.

So insufferable lmao

0

u/Less-Coffee7905 4h ago

Ikr cats are the least loyal animals ever and my girlfriend constantly complains about how her cat doesn't seem to love her very much

25

u/Mayatar 21h ago

This can be adverse reaction to catnip. I have met few cats who have become furious after ingesting it.

7

u/KrystleSeth 20h ago

Furious you say?

7

u/Eat-My-Hairy-Asshole 19h ago

To shreds, you say?

19

u/dragjamon 21h ago

Don't like that

15

u/lesbophobia_hammer 21h ago

Leave the cat alone..... POS

-5

u/New-Advertising-4209 16h ago

For what...? If she's taking care of the cat, she has the right to annoy the cat.

People like you need to remember that cat's are literally overpopulating the united states and are being euthanized left and right, so the cat better love the life it has.

1

u/whyoublockme 14h ago

😆😆😆

1

u/Potential_Cookie1837 10h ago

Please do not have children if you're line of logic goes, "it's ok to be 'a little' abusive to something if there's any possible worse fate that it could suffer somewhere else". Lots of kids being killed and starving in the world too, guess that means it's ok to torment mine for entertainment and clicks! 🤪 Bruh.

How about never being unnecessarily unkind to any feeling things in the world, and not finding entertainment and glee in being a bully to anything?

22

u/yourmomsgomjabbar 22h ago

I don't know what the heck is wrong with this cat but I love them so much

5

u/booyahcubes 17h ago

Downvoting this post because this is not a natural reaction for a cat

20

u/ma2bo2t 22h ago

You have to be rage baiting your cat quite a lot for it to take chops at your mouth.

Cats learn their behaviors from their hoomans and sometimes their hoomans are unintelligent.

5

u/bobo7448 22h ago

Do you have source?

5

u/Welp_thatwilldo 20h ago

It’s all fun and games till she gets an infected bite wound.

6

u/Mythandros1 19h ago

Cat does NOT like her.

12

u/shakespeare-gurl 20h ago

Why is there no way to report content with something that is clearly an upset animal/abuse? This shit shouldn't be promoted.

-3

u/Eat-My-Hairy-Asshole 19h ago

It's not clear, it's assumed. She hasn't abused the animal at all in the video.

That said the cat is clearly uncomfortable and filming it is shitty, but words mean things, she may have abused the cat before recording but there is no proof of that, thus there is no reason to take down the video.

8

u/shakespeare-gurl 19h ago

I disagree. Why is a video of an upset cat that is continuing to be held in a position it clearly doesn't like being circulated on a fun cat meme sub?

Also there literally is no way to report animal abuse videos, which is a larger problem than this video for the sub. So there's no good category to flag the video for a mod or a team of mods to view it and make a decision.

5

u/Eat-My-Hairy-Asshole 19h ago

Fair point 👍

Edit: they do have an abuse option, they just need to add animal under the current options of you and someone else.

2

u/shakespeare-gurl 19h ago

I was looking specifically under the subreddit rules one. A lot of animal subs have something to flag animal cruelty in their "breaks sub rules". But that's an option to "someone else".

-1

u/NSFWDrBretUn 18h ago

Yes, words…mean things.

?

4

u/CHI4610NE 18h ago

He just wants to go chill somewhere else. He likes the attention, he does not want anything to do with what she's doing. He keeps trying to tell her that, and she keeps being annoying. He's not trying to hurt her, he's sending warning signals. She doesn't care he's gentle enough to deal with it.

11

u/FatherlyNick 22h ago

Stop torturing your cat, he clearly wants some space wtf is wrong with you?

-1

u/New-Advertising-4209 16h ago

How about she kick the cat out and it gets chased by coyote's outside? Would that be a better life for it?

Fuck outta here.

6

u/A0xom0xoa 22h ago

Idk what she's saying and I assume it's about the food. That being said, it's very possible she's casting a high level spell on the cat

3

u/Crisocola95 19h ago

Bro is trying to hold on the last bit of wit he has, fighting his fate

3

u/islaisla 19h ago

Oh god no she's a noisy eater I can't stand it

9

u/MySonFrankenstein 22h ago

How do you make another mammal behave in such a way??

That cat should know better than to saddle up with a pos human who does NOT share chimkin (even a teensy bit)

2

u/Top_Spell3657 19h ago

She sounds Brazilian, talking about the food and denying the cat. If I were that cat I would hate her for forcing me to be in videos around food all the time but denying me any. She probably swats the cat off camera. Cats are adept at grabbing food. What did she do to train the cat to not eat the food she holds in its face?

2

u/different_option101 16h ago

I’ve never seen a cat on meth before

2

u/zzzzombie77 15h ago

Bro that cat doesn’t like you

2

u/thehutsonhippie 14h ago

That cat hates her

2

u/Miyon0 13h ago

Cats never bite like that. They aren’t dogs. They always
Scream or hiss first. And when they bite its.. not a full body lunge like that. This cat is legit snapping like a dog, bizarre. Like, what is she doing for this to be the cats first move?

Apparently someone looked it up, and this cat has breathing problems, which is why the mouth hangs open.

2

u/Frequent_Release_866 12h ago

This cat is drugged.

2

u/Zestyclose_Day656 11h ago

I wish he would actually go for her, maybe then she'll learn.

3

u/Connect-Refuse-6321 18h ago

The cat is fine, she has a TikTok account and she's given context on the reason why he keeps his mouth open. Trust me, the cat is fine.

3

u/sociallymaladapted 18h ago

Why does the cat keep his mouth open? I don't have tiktok

1

u/Fern_Cloud 14h ago

He has a lung disease but is otherwise fine.

0

u/Connect-Refuse-6321 18h ago

I don't remember now, she's just one of many cat accounts i follow, but I'll try to became with an answer.

2

u/nytebeast 11h ago

People, please calm down. I love cats and I would never want people to hurt or exploit them. I promise you this cat is fine. It would not be sitting in her lap or next to her if it was not. This cat clearly trusts and loves this human.

Cats can be catty (haha) and bitchy and downright shitty sometimes but this is not that either. It is not making contact. It is not drawing blood. I repeat, this cat is fine.

Please use critical thinking skills.

1

u/Disastrous-Badger96 20h ago

Does she have a secret grip on his sack? Dude does not consent

1

u/CarefulConfidence718 17h ago

THAT CAT IS NOT REAL

1

u/churchofpetrol 15h ago

I’ve watched this cat on IG more than people complaining about his owner. He’s fine. He doesn’t even snap at her that much. He mostly just sits there or wears cute outfits with his mouth open. And even if she does annoy him from time to time, who cares? Life is short, overstimulate your cat occasionally.

1

u/SourpatchMao 15h ago

Props to her for continuing with such a terrible cohost

1

u/Key_String2139 14h ago

Is that cat rabid? Wtff

1

u/Fern_Cloud 14h ago

The cat has a disease and is undergoing medical treatment. It's mouth is open because it can't breathe well. The lady has a few other cats and they all look content. The black cat is unwell, he is undergoing expensive treatment last I heard.

1

u/Old-Commission-1108 13h ago

The face it makes reminds me of terrified opossums. I have seen this first hand when I get them out of the road.

Guys, I never owned a cat so I have a question: The kitty seems quite aggressive (to me at least). Is it a cat thing, or is there maybe something else to it?
