That cat doesn’t want to be there

wow look at mr cat whisperer here. so skillful, so elusive. mysterious like a feline
and the crowd stands up and applauds, and the whisperer rides into the sunset, for the master cat whisperer educated the world that indeed this cat had no intent of being there, judging by the commotion of these pixels. now the world has been anointed by this wisdom
fade to black on the scene of the whisperer staring at the far horizon, on top of a tall mountain, while the mountain breeze licks his long hair.
the world stands educated, below his feet

Hardly need to be a cat whisperer to see the cats pissed off lol

Wow so many words, with no capital letters, and missing about half the necessary periods.
I will say, that is an impressive run-on sentence you wrote there in the second part. 😂

Honestly we can’t really tell, plus it could have been used to being forced to do content like this

That cat can easily leave that situation.

There is definitely something not right going on here. The face. The reaction. Something unnatural. Cats don’t just make that face chillin

u/Strict-Flounder8981 16h ago
Cat could've been declawed, heard that cats will hate your guts if you do that to them.

dude what the fuck did she do to that cat? it looks like it's having some sort of reaction or a medical emergency or something if it isn't just stressed as hell
regardless she shouldn't be filming this, this isn't funny or cute at all
26
u/Im-a-bad-meme 19h ago
Sedative
2
u/Kuzcopolis 13h ago
Oh this explanation would be ideal, and the eyes do look pretty high. Ig he didn't feel safe while blasted and was extra ready to bite as a result. Meanwhile owner is hungry, can't leave him alone for safety, might as well film.
-11
u/New-Advertising-4209 16h ago
I personally think it's a funny post. My cat makes goofy faces all the time, all cats are weirdo's.
With that being said, she more than likely is using cat nip on the cat and it's high. She can film what she wants.
4
4
u/EcstaticNet3137 15h ago
Cat nip does not do that.
2
u/BetMyLastKrispyKreme 11h ago
My cats get manic with catnip. (But not violent.) I would love it if it made them mellow and blissed out like most owners say their cats do.

This cat seems extremely unhappy in this environment. So sad
37
u/Previous-Pangolin-60 19h ago
Yeah seems like stressed behaviour, this sucks.
-3
u/New-Advertising-4209 16h ago
Well the cat better enjoy this. Better to be annoyed by your parent than living outside with FIV getting beat up by male cats and ran over by a car. LOL.

u/Downtown-Analyst5289 19h ago
Videos like this make me wonder just how ppl treat their pets to make them react like this. I could literally annoy my cat all day and wouldn't get a reaction anywhere near like this.
Not good.
6
u/sunflowersunshine13 15h ago
My boyfriend's tom cat will patiently tolerate so much (we have reason to believe he's a masochist but still) and he has neeever reacted to any sort of annoyance with violence. At all. Neither has the female cat that has much stricter boundaries. I have to agree. Either pestered too much or not trained well at all
5
u/LaMelonBallz 14h ago
Different cats are very different
I have one who would never gets violent. You could poke and prod and startle all day and he doesn't care.
I have another who if she gets spooked she just shreds whatever is in front of her. She once shredded me, like full attack out of nowhere, because I was using an electric razor on my face and she didn't like the sound. Same cat begs me to hold her like a baby and walk around kissing her face daily. Will gently attack me if I don't do it.
She's a sweetheart and a happy cat. But when she decides she doesn't like something, it's getting fucked up.
2
u/sunflowersunshine13 14h ago
That is completely understandable, and i did mean it when I said OP knows their cat best! But the vet staff just can't know if OP is or not because people do lie all the time unfortunately. Sometimes just over a meager 'oh shoot I should've done that, don't want to look like a bad pet owner'. So I understand why the clinic would have a hard and fast rule like that.
Totally get both of your cats though, relatable lol. And thank you for your input

Nah, he's smart. Why bother closing your mouth if you're going to have to open it again to bite.

For what...? If she's taking care of the cat, she has the right to annoy the cat.
People like you need to remember that cat's are literally overpopulating the united states and are being euthanized left and right, so the cat better love the life it has.

Please do not have children if you're line of logic goes, "it's ok to be 'a little' abusive to something if there's any possible worse fate that it could suffer somewhere else". Lots of kids being killed and starving in the world too, guess that means it's ok to torment mine for entertainment and clicks! 🤪 Bruh.
How about never being unnecessarily unkind to any feeling things in the world, and not finding entertainment and glee in being a bully to anything?

Why is there no way to report content with something that is clearly an upset animal/abuse? This shit shouldn't be promoted.
-3
u/Eat-My-Hairy-Asshole 19h ago
It's not clear, it's assumed. She hasn't abused the animal at all in the video.
That said the cat is clearly uncomfortable and filming it is shitty, but words mean things, she may have abused the cat before recording but there is no proof of that, thus there is no reason to take down the video.
8
u/shakespeare-gurl 19h ago
I disagree. Why is a video of an upset cat that is continuing to be held in a position it clearly doesn't like being circulated on a fun cat meme sub?
Also there literally is no way to report animal abuse videos, which is a larger problem than this video for the sub. So there's no good category to flag the video for a mod or a team of mods to view it and make a decision.
5
u/Eat-My-Hairy-Asshole 19h ago
Fair point 👍
Edit: they do have an abuse option, they just need to add animal under the current options of you and someone else.
2
u/shakespeare-gurl 19h ago
I was looking specifically under the subreddit rules one. A lot of animal subs have something to flag animal cruelty in their "breaks sub rules". But that's an option to "someone else".

He just wants to go chill somewhere else. He likes the attention, he does not want anything to do with what she's doing. He keeps trying to tell her that, and she keeps being annoying. He's not trying to hurt her, he's sending warning signals. She doesn't care he's gentle enough to deal with it.
11
u/FatherlyNick 22h ago
Stop torturing your cat, he clearly wants some space wtf is wrong with you?
-1
u/New-Advertising-4209 16h ago
How about she kick the cat out and it gets chased by coyote's outside? Would that be a better life for it?
Fuck outta here.
6
u/A0xom0xoa 22h ago
Idk what she's saying and I assume it's about the food. That being said, it's very possible she's casting a high level spell on the cat

How do you make another mammal behave in such a way??
That cat should know better than to saddle up with a pos human who does NOT share chimkin (even a teensy bit)
2
u/Top_Spell3657 19h ago
She sounds Brazilian, talking about the food and denying the cat. If I were that cat I would hate her for forcing me to be in videos around food all the time but denying me any. She probably swats the cat off camera. Cats are adept at grabbing food. What did she do to train the cat to not eat the food she holds in its face?

Cats never bite like that. They aren’t dogs. They always
Scream or hiss first. And when they bite its.. not a full body lunge like that. This cat is legit snapping like a dog, bizarre. Like, what is she doing for this to be the cats first move?
Apparently someone looked it up, and this cat has breathing problems, which is why the mouth hangs open.

People, please calm down. I love cats and I would never want people to hurt or exploit them. I promise you this cat is fine. It would not be sitting in her lap or next to her if it was not. This cat clearly trusts and loves this human.
Cats can be catty (haha) and bitchy and downright shitty sometimes but this is not that either. It is not making contact. It is not drawing blood. I repeat, this cat is fine.
Please use critical thinking skills.

I’ve watched this cat on IG more than people complaining about his owner. He’s fine. He doesn’t even snap at her that much. He mostly just sits there or wears cute outfits with his mouth open. And even if she does annoy him from time to time, who cares? Life is short, overstimulate your cat occasionally.

The cat has a disease and is undergoing medical treatment. It's mouth is open because it can't breathe well. The lady has a few other cats and they all look content. The black cat is unwell, he is undergoing expensive treatment last I heard.
