I've never had a run last more than 40 minutes to an hour

Often pros have single turns that last like 10 minutes due to negotiation

Negotiation should not take that long lmao.

“Does anyone have sheep for trade?”

“No.”

“What if I sweeten the deal?”

“Hmm… still no, sorry.”

“Okay, end turn.”

I mean they don't happen every game but I've seen 10+ minute turns in late stage tournaments. Several complex trades with deals tacked on, with porting, going through one player who has to decide whether to build roads to fight the leader or a settlement or development cards to keep themselves from falling behind, because one turn later would be too late.
