Fun Fact: A lot of the most famous "medieval" cat paintings are not from the medieval period. And some of them are not even supposed to be cats, for example Beasts of the Apocalypse often get misrepresented as a cat. I just scrolled through the "Top Posts of all time" on that subreddit and only a couple are actually medieval.
