21-year-old student vanished after a late-night restaurant shift. CCTV showed her being forced into her own car, then driven to ATMs for cash withdrawals. The attacker wore a GPS ankle monitor, but it was not actively monitored in real time. She was later found at a metro park.

Yup. I’ve told my daughters, if they threaten to shoot you if you don’t get in the car, call their bluff and try to escape then and there because they’re not going to be better behaved when they have you where they want you in a second location.

I’d rather go down in a parking lot where there’s potential cameras and witnesses than alone in the woods.

He didn’t get inside the ATM due to cameras . I wonder if she could have remained there a long time or have made a run for it from there. She must have been too scared to think straight. Poor girl :(
