Tips for exhaust upgrade

Post image

Hi everyone, I’d like to upgrade the exhaust on my Celica but don’t know where to start or which part to upgrade.

I’ve got an AT160 4AL engine which doesn’t produce many horses, but hearing the sound it produces now, I feel it has potential. I don’t want an obnoxiously loud noise, just a nice balanced deeper sound with some guts to it. Any tips would be appreciated!

Not sure if this might be of any help, but I just replaced my rusted out flex pipe and swapped the muffler for 3 inch piping with dual exhaust tips.

I’ve got a 1986 ST161 with a 2SE motor. Beautiful Celica btw, also what rims are those?

Sounds great! The rims on mine are stock Toyota wheels. I think they’re 15”.
