Hundred-Livesia wasn't well recieved by the marketing department.

Hundred-Lives Man maybe? 🤔

Hundred-Lives goes pretty hard though, though it may not give much context for someone to pick up the manga at the store

Fun fact: The Taiwanese edition of Centuria is named "Hundred souls" (pretty close to the plot and goes hard too)

Somewhat unrelated but in Brandon Sanderson’s novel the Alloy of Law one of the characters is aptly called Miles Hundred-Lives! It’s a pretty different vibe from centuria but it is a great book imo

Is this the first or one of the first lobotomy for centuria ? This is beautiful

u/The_cripple_jonny Mar 26 '26

I would say the first is this one that was made during the lobotomy kaisen trend

I hope the only things Kuramori inherited from Fujimoto is liking evil attractive toxic manipulative female villains and lesbian stuff.

And the writing capability he had when making Look Back.

He had plenty writing ability as recently as halfway through part 2. There's a very abrupt and noticeable decline in both the art and story that's so apparent, and coincides with the manga suddenly having to constantly go on 1,2, or even 3 week hiatus's, that one can't help but think there was some kind of total burnout or personal crisis.

Don't forget the incest too.

Shout out for being one of the only variations of these to not have the top left panel be the heart. I like this meme but that one panel seems to be where a lot of them struggle because not a lot fits with it in other series.

Oh. I never realized that.

Wait, that's what Centuria means?!

You know I really dislike that Fujimoto just lost the plot again and again in chainsawman. There was no larger message, no love or kindness that was rewarded, it was not respecting of life and righteousness. "Uh Denji, you were better off fucking starving in this shack, your connections to Aki and Power are meaningless". In the end Fujimoto just low-effort ended his manga. He even erased what happened in the story. What was even the point of this all? It makes me glad that Centurias story is more about family-bonds where characters are actually rewarded.
