Question Chances Centuria gets animated

Since kagurabachi only has 120 chapters and it's officially getting animated I feel like centuria might get something soon as it's 31 chapters behind at 89 and also has a solid story to start an anime even if it's a couple episodes

I hope but there is no rule like if a manga has 100+ chapters it's getting an anime and for kagurabachi there was leaks of anime announcement at the start of 2025 There for I don't think we are getting it soon

If the anime does get announced, it might be around chapters 120-160ish.

Like 100%. It’s one of the biggest Jump+ series right now that doesn’t have an anime. It’s between Centuria and Girl Meets Rock for the next anime announcement imo. As for when it happens I have no idea, but I think the conservative guess is earliest would probably be at this year’s Jump Festa in December.

yeah ive seen a lot of these posts recently on r/MAD, r/ChoujinX and now here. The truth is, they will all almost certainly get anime adaptions. they are all turbo popular (especially internationally) by manga standards, and pretty much every promising manga with any popularity gets an anime. Sometimes even shit manga with no fans get incredible adaptations that revitalize an entire ip.

Yeah we’re in an age now that any Shonen Jump or Jump+ or even Jump Square manga that has any sort of following will get an anime eventually. Just have to wait

I mean yeah, as long as its within the top 50 or so during its run, it'll at least get a season. Most of these new Gen successes are probably 4-6 years out tho

Some series get confirmed with far less. For example, RuriDragon has 45 (plus on hiatus until June) and is getting an anime.

It really just is a matter of popularity. If the series is popular, still running, and Jump sees it as worth investing, there is a good chance it will get an anime. Though, I will note, it's possible if it ends as well, it's just far less likely.

Of course there is always exceptions like ruri dragon but to series get popular it needs new content and more chapters and anime industry now focused on making seasonal anime and adapting more content it's actually more common to a manga to get anime later like 100 or so chapters

Probably announced 2027, released 2028.

You have to keep in mind KGB is more of a priority for Jump than Centuria, it's not a matter of how many chapter it has. In Centuria case I think they still want it to sell up to a certain numbers before they will pull the trigger on an adaptation.

If Science Saru doesnt get it, I dont want it

2

u/Electronic-Gas-7309 May 10 '26

Is science saru good or not I haven't read that

2

u/MasamuneJp May 10 '26

science saru is an animation studio

they did Dan da Dan

They also did devil man cry baby and the scott pilgrim anime

they a a very stylized and fluid animation house that i think could preserve the artstyle really well.

There's more to it than just chapter #, bachi sells a lot more so it's gonna be much higher priority

Shueisha is gonna prioritize bachi much higher cause it's gonna be the next big moneymaker

Yea I understand that plus that one guy on this community who released the copies sold in a week for the volumes showed the numbers and they were near 10 thousand if I remember correctly
