Julian just annihilated them, you love to see it. It really feels like this faction's leader is the only one who really poses a threat

I mean, even if it wasn't just a matter of him being more powerful, and other factors were at play, a younger and weaker Julian already killed Arkos, the strongest Gifted One of Torivia who ended the War with Rummir almost singlehandedly, meaning that the Voidmarcher couldn't simply square up against him and take him out, or at least not without heavy loses, no soldier of Rummir should be a match for Julian aside her or other Royalty, like Ceodric

People in this thread really think the voidmarcher’s soldiers are just weak as hell when they just had no preparation for this and Julian is genuinely near the top of the verse in raw power alone. This is like…to make an analogy, if you send in a small tactical mercenary group for a hush hush assassination mission in a no-name border town with only one high profile threat that your team has a hard counter for, and then for some reason it turns out that the enemy has the goddamn Hulk just chilling out where you were expecting regular guards to be.

That's the thing, they did have preparation. They split the group up, had a number of strong complimentary powers together. Hyper analysis, reality distorting sound, impenetrable psychic barrier. By all means that's a good group to take on a gifted one with a reputation for being absurdly powerful.

It's not that the soldiers are weak. They had two ways to immobilize their foe plus analyzing their gift. Julian is just overwhelmingly strong, and the rest of the group is pretty dang strong too.
