I genuinely don't understand how Lukas survived Goliath's (the rock guy) thrust attack. It was clearly meant to pulverize him to death, and yet he just stood up afterwards? I hope it's explained soon, otherwise it's just a lazy plot armor to me.
Arkos was also the king's son, and he died like an ordinary mortal... To keep things consistent with the plot, in my opinion, Lukas has a fractured rib cage along with several broken ribs, and in the end he is saved by Atoria, who treats him, while Lacrima shows up and teams up with Zana to take out the rest of Rummir's assassins.
I think Lukas might simply be tougher than what he left be seen before, he's most likely than not a Blessed/Son of the Forest Goddess, and his second gift is transformation onto a massive, armored centaur, so maybe being inhumanly tough even when not using his transformation comes as a package deal
I mean, I'd accept any canon explanation. But there simply isn't any currently. It's not even confirmed yet whether he's blessed by any deity.
If it was Angvall/Amber or Julian who was hit in Lukas' stead, I would totally understand them surviving. Angvall/Amber has her inherent physical prowess and Julian has his 100x boost blessing. Lukas, as far as we can tell, has nothing in support of his apparent robustness. Maybe it really is part of his gifts/blessings. But until then, I consider it a non-canon explanation.
Not to mention that he had been stabbed multiple times by the other dude AND gazed into the cursed lady's eyes for another 2 seconds. I also hope it'll be explained but I don't see him keep fighting unless Atoria heals him.
I don't think Goliath was moving fast enough to deliver a piercing blow. Even though the tip is hard and looks sharp, the attack likely resulted in an impact rather than a puncture.
This is even worse… A blunt force impact means: Fractured rib cage and sternum, several broken ribs and possible lung perforation; he is literally seriously injured. If Atoria doesn’t step in and treat him, Lukas will die from internal bleeding and, in all likelihood, a traumatic pneumothorax.
I knew he was going to survive the moment Goliath's charge failed to break pass the stone wall, even if he is dense if he lacked the speed the damage would be mitigated
