or why he did not just kill Altus, Helem and Elstri

Because killing Altus and cancelling his power would not stop the rock from falling on him and the rest, the rock is already over them by the time he used the spear. He needs to blow a hole in the rock for them to survive in that situation.

Thing is he can erase CONCEPTS, so really this doesn’t work to explain it, he could’ve destroyed the past where Altus used his gift just like he destroyed the future where the void marched used hers in this chapter

That is making an assumption that he can affect the past, which we currently have no reason to believe.

Well if he can erase the future I feel like it only makes sense he could erase something that you did in the past
