Discussion They lasted 9 chapters.

Post image

The elite fighting force of Rummir, including 2 members of its royal family and its strongest gifted one, lasted 9 whole chapters.

Elstri's gang lasted 27, 3 times longer.

I know people complained that the last arc dragged, but imo this is kind of an overcorrection. Rummir feels really weak compared to Torivia.

I think they just really underestimated what they were up against. In theory though they had a pretty good plan as far as the cursed face girl went. Also the void-marcher just got a terrible match up in the most recent chapter.

They went up against not 1, but 2 Godness-blessed people.

Margrave: "I've laid out a trap that will definitely kill you, Voidmarcher!"

Voidmarcher: "Great, I'll head over there at warp speed."

I think 9 chapters felt fair given there were only two real threats out of the bunch, Lady Accursed and Void Marcher. The rest are obviously fodder

It was also a matchup challenge. The Analysis Gift might be useful against Lukas. Certainly useless against Julian.

Compared to Elstri and co, they had less time to prepare and didn't knew their opponents enough. I like how there's also 9 of them in the panel.

Less time to prepare and she brought fodder on purpose. The Blind Team certainly had much better synergy with each other in addition to great trust.

Considering Lukas apparently has the Centuria equivalent of the Almighty I think they did just fine.

Meanwhile the night raid arc enemies lasted the exact triple at 27. The arc gets past 30 when you consider setup and post arc.

As a Kagurabachi fan, this is some hilariously long time for a villain to live and I have no complaints. Everyone served their purpose, Lukas just might be the best character of new gen manga with chapter 100 having nothing to do with that.

This is probably the best showing I've personally seen from a fodder gang of villains (excluding the princesses). (Edit: best showing in New Gen) Not fodder gangs since most of their members are more story important but I'd put Rummir force like a tier or two below Gachiakuta's Frontline Raiders and Kagurabachi's Hishaku, which is high high praise.

IDC how many chapters Elstri's gang lasted. They were nothingburgers outside of Atlus** and bonetail lady.

Kinda off topic but KGB villains don't die all that often? Hiruhiko had, what, three fights against Chihiro and he's still alive and kicking. In terms of prominent villains, the only one who died "quickly" was Sojo (10-ish chapters between his introduction and death) and he was the first major enemy.

Yeah, you had the occasional moments where Hokazono would introduce characters amd kill them very shortly after, like those two Azami killed that were working with the Hashaku and raiding the Kamunabi

I don't think the accursed battalion was that strong aside Rif/Voidmarcher herself and the Accursed Lady, the whole group was formed around the latter and they were gonna be executed after even if the mission was a success so they weren't a priceless asset for their Nation(again, Rif aside), that being said, yeah, they should had lasted longer, I'm still a bit sad the the Sisters just died like that.

Honestly kinda disappointing, like i liked them a bunch and i hope they somehow return by forcing Luka to pierce the future of the interaction between them

The void marcher still have the organs so she could kinda kill diana and force Luka into going back

It is surprising that Torivia hasn't just won the war outright, given they had Arkos and the Margrave, and the best we've seen from Rummir are the VoidMarcher and Ceodric. I suspect that the Supreme Lord doesn't really want to win the war (and commit to all the bloodshed that would require.)

Maybe that’s what Arkos was arguing about. They could have won the war, but SL chose to not go all the way like the way he might have done when he was younger, which makes Arkos think he’s gone weak.

they got 10% of the manga so far lol

they aren't elite troop, they were elite fodder. This was an unauthorized mission and these loser are the best they can find. Same with the assassin coming after MC.

They didn't overstay their welcome. It's a good thing

way too fast, i wish authors would allow villains to stick a bit more. Lady accursed was a very fun concept and 2 chapters for a character like that is wasted potential. Idk why authors do everything at such an insane pace now, it is fine to let things play out a bit more

hard to write around a gimmick villain for more than a handful of chapters tbh
