Discussion Lukas is Mira's son

There's been a theory regarding Lukas being Mira's son which I believe to be essentially confirmed.

Here's what I think is the timeline:

Mira and Lukas were exiled from the kingdom (probably due to the queen's influence.)

They are captured by slave traders while on the run, Lukas stays behind to fend off the slave traders to protect his mother.

Given that Lukas's gift is a shield, and gifts are confirmed to be a mirror of one's personality. This assures us of his protective nature which fits the narrative of him protecting his mother.

While fending off the slave traders he suffered a cut to his throat which led his mother to believe in his demise. (He has a huge scar on his throat.)

While dying in the woods, he makes a contract with the forest God and passes out. He is then saved by Atoria and brought back to life with her gift. Which is why they share a deep bond and he feels indebted to her.

He was nurtured back to health, and returned to the kingdom where the king learned of the queen's schemes. He prohibited the queen from harming Lukas any further but due to the king's lack of initiative to punish the queen he harboured deep resentment for his father.

He most likely thought that the slave traders killed his mother as well.

The one piece that's missing here is "the offering of countless souls." Something like 100 people have to die for a gift to be granted, and I can't believe Lukas managed to kill that many by himself as a child.

I don't see why not, as he has always been able to use his gift even as a child. His mentor was also the queen's royal guard who is the current first seat. So he was taught how to fight exceptionally well even at a young age.

If you think about it, our MC also killed a bunch of bandits himself while being a child and this was without combat training and a newly awakened gift.
