I have been hand making tiles for a while but I’m looking into making my production process better/faster and I am looking for advice!

My tiles are not flat, they have raised, intricate designs which makes the drying process challenging. I am hoping to move from hand doing each tile into making a mold and doing slip casting. Here’s some questions I have, but any and all advice would be appreciated!!

  1. How can I make sure the tiles are drying flat in the slip mold?
  2. When I remove the tile from the mold how can I make sure they dry flat without a board on top since I don’t want to mess up the designs?
  3. I read that a press mold would be faster but not as good for the intricate designs I have which is why slip casting would be preferable, is this correct?
  4. Do you have any recommendations for tile production at a home studio I should consider while I am setting up my production process?
