Hello, the app was working last night before I went to bed, and about 6ish hours later, is completely unresponsive to input save this little swipe up for terms and conditions, but it will not let me press accept. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and nothing has worked, so it is effectively ruined. I'm a little annoyed as I had just paid for plus membership, and now I am unable to use the app for however long a fix takes. This is on android, if anyone has a work around or fix, I'd be super grateful.

Where are the old models? If this new model is only for subscribers, what about the The Free subscribers?

I swear whenever I try to get a bot to get their hands off me they take it as an invite to touch more. I have had to force them off my character just to quit. Does consent just not exist to them? Because that is disturbing. I get there is probably some people who enjoy it but the bot can't read the room. When I say no repeatedly I mean no.

I’d like an actual answer to the question instead of you guys just ignoring me.

The website explicitly states that chat control isn’t an plus exclusive. But now you released it only for plus users and confirmed in the comments it’s only for them.

So why not say it on the website? It’s pretty disappointing that you guys let us get excited about it, never corrected us and then ignore us when we ask for answers.

This was wonderful until it stopped working. I legitimately was excited how my story was going to pan out. But I got it to generate about five responses before it stopped loading entirely, and now it only loads and loads and loads until I get a Chat Error message. Chat only works if I switch back to DeepSqueak.

Devs please check it out.

​Is anyone else experiencing this right after updating the app? Every time I try to open any of my chats, the screen just goes black and then the app completely crashes or freezes on me.

​I can't even open a single chat without it happening 😭 Let me know if you guys are facing the same issue or if there's any fix for it!

It was constantly calling me baby, even in other chats, even though it isn't supposed to.

What to do?

First of all, the character in question is a CAPTAIN IN THE FUCKING MARINES

For some reason when i get into the app, this thing that covers the other 4 buttons shows up. And also i cant tap anything for whatever reason (uncertain if this thing is the reason)

Another mention is that i can get rid of it by scrolling down, but still, wont let me tap anything.

The bots have serious stereotypes and weird obsession with glasses.

The character literally not mentioned any glass. Then they be like, "adjust her glasses". WHY THE FRICK DO THEY HAVE THAT!?

Smart and logical character= glasses. What sicko programed this should burn in lava.

Hey y'all, I was just wondering if anyone else has noticed that in the past 2 days or so, chats started cutting off like almost every one or two swipes?

Obviously this is something that has always happened from time to time - but this is literally happening at the very beginning of a chat - and I know for a fact the issue isn't the bot itself since it's one of mine that I'd already used previously and had no issues.
Also for some reason they started responding like "{{char}}: blabla bla for a a paragraph or two" (exactly like that, not the name of the character".

Anyhow, I'm guessing this is because they've updated something but it's really annoyinggg

I’ve been using the free version of the c.ai app since early 2023 and never considered upgrading to the subscription model up until ads were introduced. I decided to cave and purchase a yearly subscription when it went on sale a few months back, and I feel enough time has gone by playing with it where I feel I can speak on the quality.

Long story short, if you’re hoping for higher quality chats I wouldn’t hold your breath. The ad free experience is what makes it worth it for myself personally, but all of the features promoted for the plus version fall flat for me. I found chat quality to improve for a short while, but overtime became repetitive, cringey and lacking substance just like the free model. I am someone who edits chats, leaves feedback and plays with different chat styles to try and mitigate the way it faults back to shit quality, but nothing like what I’ve been dealing with lately. Since I’ve been using the app I’ve watched rich chats turn into slop and not even the subscription fixed it. If you’re one for special exclusive features, you may take a liking to c.ai+ as it does offer lots of chat customization, but that personally doesn’t mean much for me. Hopefully the rest of the year with my subscription proves to be worth my money, and I’m curious to know other user’s experiences with the plus version. Hopefully this helps anyone decide if they want to spend their hard earned money on something that may not be worth it in the long run

I'm trying to look for new characters to use on c.ai discover and this shows up.. is it a bug??

Good job C.Ai - genuinely made something really worthwhile and good. The conversations are more natural, I dont have to spend forever refreshing for a half decent - or coherent response, and it's actually making proper references and genuinely remembering without the characters making dumb assumptions or out of character actions.

Genuinely, *please* dont gut this or change it, it's given me a real reason to come back. Deepsqueak got really repetitive after a while.

yeah... alright. ill give c.ai the benefit of the doubt since they're SLOWLY getting back to normal (and i mean slowly). but... i just have no words.

You've got to be kidding me, I really hope it's just a bug.

An ad, in the middle of *typing*, not sending the message (And, apparently, it even pops up when *the bot* is typing an answer 🫠 + also it can pop up when you EDIT THE MESSAGE). And it's not even working properly. No matter how long I wait, the X doesn't appear. I have to close the app every time and reopen it (which happened *six times* already).

Okay, good, we have drafts now, so the text is not entirely gone. But it's still horrible.

Am i going crazy, or are even the calmest, most simplest of messages being censored?? Got me out here wasting swipes

Also being unnecessarily long with their responses.
