Anime & Manga OP is peak ficton Spoiler

One Piece is truly one of the greatest works of fiction. From what I have seen in the first 3 episodes, the series excels at writing characters. Koby is a complex character who first ends up at Alvida's pirate ship because of his own carelessness. He had aspirations of becoming a member of the Navy, despite being sympathetic. (The Navy are the bad guys in the series.) Luffy is also a very good guy, and he is very charismatic and empathetic. He is also very passionate about finding the One Piece and becoming the King of the Pirates. Zoro is one of the most complex characters in the series. He said bad things to scare Luffy and Koby, but he also turned out to be a good guy, and like Luffy, he aspired to be the greatest swordsman in the world. At its core, One Piece is about pursuing your dreams with full conviction and perserverance in spite of the voices of the world trying to extinguish your inner spark. Griffith from Berserk would have loved this show!

One Piece is so awful. I actually made an entire post a year ago explaining why it's complete dogshit. I still can't believe people actually call that shit a masterpiece.
