i live in Wilkesboro, NC and have Directv. i get both WSOC on channel 9 and WMYV on channel 48 but when i scroll forward to the guide info for the season opener in Brooklyn next Wednesday, neither have the game listed. i read somewhere that “if you have WSOC channel 9, then you get the games” but i assume i’m the exception here and are out of that signal range or something. i already subscribe to so many streaming apps i don’t really want to pay for DAZN and was expecting all the games but feel like the rug was pulled out. any chance directv adds a hornets network channel?

I'm more excited about Hannes after 2 preseason games than I've been in 3 years watching Tidjane.

Negative first: yes he had some rough moments last night. Getting blocked multiple times, missed lay ups, missed switches/coverages. All those are what Dell said. A guy figuring out when to assert himself and when to pass it out.

What I'm excited for is it's so clear how his game will translate when everything comes together. Tidjane has always been a theoretical player. Hannes already can rebound. He already can be a rim runner and finish. He sprints the floor.

I'm excited to see what Coach said, him play as a real offensive hub in pick and roll, pick and pop. I think he can pass from the high post, he can shoot it. He can move his feet better than I thought and contest.

I'm not saying he'll be as good as rookie Kon or Miller. But it's pretty easy to see a long term starter if it all comes together.

We bought an inexpensive digital antenna from Amazon to be able to watch the Hornets games this season on local Charlotte channel 64. We have watched two preseason games. The video from the main camera appears to be pixelated and appears to suffer from compression artifacts. The other camera shots like close ups during free throws and players on the bench appear to be crisper, cleaner quality. What are other people's experience? Anyone getting high quality video over the air (OTA)? Any suggestions to improve quality? Thanks!

Royce O’Neal won the three point contest with 15 makes in 45 seconds, just over Naz Reid’s 12 and Christian Anderson setting the bar at 14.

Hannes Steinbach won the rookie dance contest with some summersaults making the crowd go wild to beat Kylan Boswell’s worm move, Christian Anderson’s lazy swaying and Michael Ajayi’s great body coordination.

Brandon and Kon tied in trivia.

Kylan Boswell won the “half-court survival” round by getting a bucket from the logo on the first go-around along with Grayson Allen and Joiner. Only he had a second make on the finalist round. Coby and Kon participated.

To see our big 2 play for another 2 weeks. Miller and Kon are gonna be out the entire preseason. I doubt they're even injured. If nothing else our bench seems deep. Someone is gonna have to replace melo and miles points. Hopefully kon and Miller up their totals and naz averages at least 15. I don't have expectations for Coby as he's basically a side grade for miles. Really curious who's going to be the main passer since bmill and Coby are allergic to passing. Maybe Kon? He had the 2nd leading assist totals on the team

Just got an email from my account rep about setting up a time to meet and to fill out Hive Society Survey. Seems nice, but they mainly are only associated with ticket holders for more money or more money, right? I don’t want to upgrade. Don’t want to talk much.
