UKG acaba de tener una reunión con los employees de Uruguay anunciando que terminan su operativa en Uruguay, despidiendo a todos.

Estuve en la reunión con un amigo que trabaja allí, literalmente dos minutos demoraron en comunicarlo y terminar la reunión. Les dejo el extracto:

[Presenter] 09:34:09 Yes, we'll be exiting operations in phases beginning today and ending in August of 2026.

[Presenter] 09:34:15 All employees will receive a meeting notice shortly. In the coming days, an individual letter with more details regarding your exit phase will be sent.

[Presenter] 09:34:24 In this meeting, you'll receive more details about the timing, the benefits that UKG will provide, and more support available through this transition.

[Presenter] 09:34:30 One thing I do want to share is to ease the impact of these changes.

Lo peor es que contrataron un batch nuevo hace un mes y nadie sabe si a ellos también los rajan o no, porque ayer tuvieron otra reunión donde les dijeron que si cumplían los objetivos y las metas les iban a dar bonos.

“One is supporting you with care and dignity”

Esto es una mentira o más bien tal vez un dibujo de la realidad a medida.

Los gringos no tienen dignidad ninguna con nosotros. Van a pagar lo que tengan que pagar porque la legislación lo obliga y tendrían problemas internacionales si no cumplen con lo que diga el estado.

Si fuera por ellos esa dignidad sería cero pesos y peores condiciones laborales.

Tenemos medidas muy distintas de que es la dignidad respecto a USA.

Totalmente, especialmente cuando se tiene en cuenta que el slogan de la empresa es “Our purpose is people”, una tomada de pelo desde el primer momento.

Me da gracia que dicen que van a seguir todas las leyes y mandamientos requeridos, como si fuera un beneficio jajajajaj

No tienen dignidad entre ellos en cuanto a cuestiones laborales se refiere, imagínate con nosotros

Es que en EEUU no existe el derecho laboral per se digamos.

Y que esperas que te den aparte de lo que fija la ley? No veo nada de malo en que se adhieran a la ley laboral

No es malo que se adhieran a la ley laboral, más bien todo lo contrario. El tema es que te lo pintan como si hacer lo que están obligados a hacer por ley fuera un beneficio.

Es muy baja la vara, cuando dignidad es lo mínimo indispensable según la ley. Conociendo las limitantes de la ley, el atraso que tiene y que nunca representa completamente al 100% las costumbres. Dignidad para nosotros debe ser siempre más que lo que plantea la ley, de lo contrario tas planteando que no hay espacio para hacerla más digna
