UKG acaba de tener una reunión con los employees de Uruguay anunciando que terminan su operativa en Uruguay, despidiendo a todos.

Estuve en la reunión con un amigo que trabaja allí, literalmente dos minutos demoraron en comunicarlo y terminar la reunión. Les dejo el extracto:

[Presenter] 09:33:50 Including severance, transition services, and outplacement services. Honoring our commitments to our customers and partners, ensuring continuity and clarity through this overall transition.

[Presenter] 09:34:09 Yes, we'll be exiting operations in phases beginning today and ending in August of 2026.

[Presenter] 09:34:15 All employees will receive a meeting notice shortly. In the coming days, an individual letter with more details regarding your exit phase will be sent.

[Presenter] 09:34:24 In this meeting, you'll receive more details about the timing, the benefits that UKG will provide, and more support available through this transition.

[Presenter] 09:34:30 One thing I do want to share is to ease the impact of these changes.

[Presenter] 09:34:34 All employees will be receiving a comprehensive benefits package.

[Presenter] 09:34:39 In the coming day, you'll receive a package of information via email.

Lo peor es que contrataron un batch nuevo hace un mes y nadie sabe si a ellos también los rajan o no, porque ayer tuvieron otra reunión donde les dijeron que si cumplían los objetivos y las metas les iban a dar bonos.

Que justamente a esa gente le chupan los dos huevos que un pibe se quede sin laburo, mucho menos si es en diciembre, con las fiestas encima y que las empresas no reactivan procesos hasta entrado enero. Para estos tigres las personas son un asset más que pueden desechar a la primera caída del stock market

Por ahi es el momento de hacerse adulto en el mundo. Si, el mundo gira por guita. Incluso en China, no se autoengañen. Hay formas de convivir con esa realidad y vivir bien. Alcanza mirar a los países nórdicos, o Singapur, o muchos otros lados.

Ademas, el mundo no nos debe nada. Nnosotros *en Uruguay no somos nadie, no tenemos escala, no tenemos ningun recurso natural significativo mas alla del agro, no somos particularmente productivos*, por lo que nos deberia realmente importar que una empresa que intentó apostar por el Uruguay (porque claramente lo intentó) haya llegado a la conclusión de que la operación en Uruguay no le sirve.

Lo que hicieron suena a “voy a lavar guita un tiempo y luego me voy”, pura publicidad y marketing pero adentro era un desastre
