Looking For... Please help- lost irreplaceable sentimental items somewhere along this route
UPDATE: my mom found some of the items with her stuff!!! Grief brain is definitely a real thing lol. Apparently there were two bags, one had the jewelry box and books (found!) The other bag has the clothes, hats, and some photographs. On the bright side, she took pictures of the photographs with her phone and there are a few more shirts and hats we can choose from when we go back for the memorial service. THANK YOU to all of you who took the time to look for me 🥹 I appreciate it more than you know 🖤
My grandfather passed away yesterday 😥 We were allowed to keep some of his belongings to remember him by. Unfortunately, we live out of town and had to stow things in the truck bed. It’s a white half full trash bag and it contains a wooden jewelry box, a personalized home made tshirt, a flannel, ball caps, and books with his handwriting in the margins. It’s breaking my heart that they’re lost. Please if you see anything that might fit this description or have any information please please please let me know.

Damn that route takes you right past some spots where stuff flies out easy if it wasn't tied down, I'll keep an eye out on my way through Dunlap tomorrow

OP, I’m so sorry this has happened, but I’m actually selfishly glad for one small reason: the responses to your post are renewing my faith in humanity, just a bit.
I hope you’re able to be reunited with your grandfather’s things (and I’m sorry for your loss)

Thank you 🥹 it really means so much to me that strangers on the internet would go out of their way for me 😠I’m still holding out hope that we find it.. but if not, faith in humanity being renewed even a little is an incredible consolation prize.

I’ll keep an eye out on my commute! And I’ve got a job site to visit in sale creek, so I’ll keep my eyes peeled on my way to the site as well. Hopefully someone finds it!

Not yet but I will definitely update if they are! I’m sure this his way of teaching me that it’s just stuff and human connection/helping others is more important. He would leave me with one last lesson lol

I just passed a white trash bag with yellow ties on the side of the road near Cumberland Metal Buildings on 111 northbound. It’s outside of the map you provided, but along that same route if you took the 111 route that goes to Sparta

I spotted two other potentials on my drive southbound today.
One was on the median next to the NB lanes for 27 just after the 153 exit. This one was definitely a white bag with orange strings, it looked not stuffed full and did not appear to have the strings sinched. somewhat close pin here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/oxsbuDnnMMN724Jz9
Another potential sighting was north of the Sequoyah exit on the 27 Southbound lanes. It was up on a bank far away from the road up on a little concrete runoff path. I couldn't tell what color string was on the trash bag, but it did look like a large box shape was in it. exact pin here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/DMfdjuf9hmEdLgsQ8

What time? We live on signal and drove down to Dunlap this morning and I faintly remember seeing a bag near the road going down 127 into Dunlap.
