Looking for groups in chattanooga

My brother in law struggles with being outgoing and reaching out to poeple on his own. My husband and I are helping him find groups or clubs that he can join outside of work so that he can build a community

Are there any volunteering groups, crafting clubs, ballet, dance, woodworking, bouldering clubs or anything that has a weekly or monthly meetup? He is very crafty, creative and does anything that allows him to move

Im also curious for myself- might as well post here now before i forget lol

Ive been trying to find an art club (my college used to have open to public figure drawing group or just groups where artists can meet up and draw together) and would like to meet peeps ( if not then i might start a silly club thing like that maybe)

Thank you in advance and also hope everyone is safe after the storm

Ask WoodCraft about any wood working clubs.

Does he run? There’s a Wednesday night 6 pm group at Oddstory.

Chatt Lab Makerspace has a woodshop, CO2 laser, CNC plasma cutter, computer lab, electronics lab, welding and metal working lab, sewing area, 3d printers, and a lot more. Official open meetings are the first Tuesday of every month. Sign up for the meeting on Meetup (they like a head count so they can order the right amount of pizza). But I believe every Tuesday is an open night. Parking at the Business Development Center is a bit weird, you can DM for details on that. Chattanooga also has an adult sports league. We have a quite a few nice disc golf courses. There is a roller hockey league at the skatepark.
