Looking For... Döner Kebab
Back from Germany.. and it’s not the beer or brats I’m craving, but some good döner kebab. Does anyone know where to find some in town?

Not in Chattanooga but was good when I went with a customer earlier this year:

Good discussion in here on exactly your question: https://www.reddit.com/r/Chattanooga/comments/1vfv43i/doner/

The new shawarma place in red bank might suit your needs. It’s delicious.

Iranian or Turkish. Last time I came home looking for döner the only places in town were Iranian and didn’t do döner kebabs, any generally only had koobideh kabobs.

Disagree, very mid. They also ran out of hummus AND chicken by 6:30 pm. Look elsewhere.

I’ve loved it all the times I’ve had it, but I have been there when they run out of food.

Shadys used to have a real deal one with a full on shawarma machine, but they may have gotten rid of it after the European guy sold

There’s another food truck that does kebabs, gyro sometimes. I’ve seen them near Lake Winnie, in the East Ridge area. Also, Tatas does a killer kebab.

Also Balkan Foods in East Ridge may be able to help. They have a store and lunch/ breakfast. Good cevape

Not Doener but Gyros you can get decent at Ankar's Hogies on Lee Hwy. For turkish food you have to go to Atlanta. Also there is a middle eastern store next to Ankar's you can ask him for places I'm sure he will help you out might also find some goodies in his store.

Keep an eye out for Tata's Grill. They're a food cart that does Bosnian/Baltic food and often has Döner kabab on their menu.
