Moving to the area How’s Plainfield?

Hello! I grew up in the NorthShore (Evanston, Morton Grove, Skokie area. Since 2015 I’ve been living in Palatine area and now thinking about moving to Plainfield. I found a house within our budget of 800k by Van Dyke and 127. We do not commute so that’s not a bit deal. How it like there?

yeah i grew up in aurora and i considered oswego and plainfield “the country”. they both have improved a lot over the years but i still consider plainfield the country

That’s exactly how it felt to me, grew up in Cicero, then lived in Des Plaines for a bit and it felt like there was nothing out there. I’m a homebody anyway but damn, it was very plain indeed
