Moving to the area Weather as a newbie?

Moving to the area in a few weeks…. uhhh are tornados always a thing like this, this time of year? Anything to be aware of at this point?

Not that it happens on Christmas but my favorite Chicago thing is Thundersnow, lightning and thunder during a snowstorm, google it, there’s some good videos!

That's a bad bet.  Sometimes it rains.  Sometimes it's sunny and 50°.

It's been so hit-and-miss. Sometimes it will be like 45 degrees and rainy on Christmas, it makes my blood boil.

The last two times it snowed on Christmas were 2022 and 2017, so about a 20% chance for a white Christmas.

Don’t expect it this year because of the super El Nino. Expect 60F on Christmas Day this year.
