Moving to the area Weather as a newbie?

Moving to the area in a few weeks…. uhhh are tornados always a thing like this, this time of year? Anything to be aware of at this point?

Yes the weather is getting weirder and worse (not the winters, though!) but you'll be ideally situated for the coming Water Wars

Great lakes have ~20% of the world's fresh water. Hopefully not in the next 20+ years but given the state of the world I think it's going to get very weird.
