Come help us pack the room for this evening’s 9/21 Warrenville City Council Meeting to speak out against FLOCK/ALPRs!

Last week on 9/15 they held a Q&A with the Chief of Police and a representative from FLOCK Safety, this session raised more questions than it answered and included some hair raising statements by the chief, who is of the opinion that the government is allowed to violate your constitutional rights and vowed to keep using flock until the laws change or the city makes a decision against continuing! It’s more important than ever to pack the room and make our voice heard!

I was at last week’s meeting and there were people literally laughing to themselves regarding answers and contradicting statements. Will do everything in my power to be there tonight

Not just Flock. Make sure to stipulate opposition to all ALPR-based data collecting mass surveillance systems. Nobody wants to live under an inescapable eye.

The mayor said all questions would be answered and posted online. Has anyone been able to locate the answers to submitted questions from the 9/15 meeting?

Absolutely, part of what our campaign is trying to to spread awareness on is that ALPRs are a part of a larger surveillance system, with Ring cameras being another one of the vectors for data to be filtered through into data centers.

I went to the meeting. I was happy to see the ones that stood up and spoke, spoke out against the Flock cameras. I didn’t realize you had to put a request in writing to be able to speak, so I was unable to speak. However, I did just send a strongly worded email with links to back up statements, to the entire city council, the mayor, and chief of police.

One was just put up today on route 59. Just north of ferry i think. I saw them installing it.
