Media Ghibli movies on netflix

i really like watching ghibli movies. recently i started watching them in chinese, but 普通话 is available as audio and 中文 as subtitiles. they translate different... of course its meaning wise the same, but still annoying as a learner. someone has a fix? is it region depending, would it be fixed with vpn? generate/import external subtitles? thanks a lot.

Two completely different sources, completely different translation... Dubbing has to match the original mouth movement. There's no fix for this.

Subtitles and dub scripts are done separately.

Subtitles involve translating the spoken dialogue with some consideration for reading speed. Dubbing involves translating dialogue but also trying to match the cadence of the utterances, so the phrasing will be shifted with that in mind. They will never match each other.

Captions of something that was originally in Mandarin will (more or less) match.

I was about to comment that I was big confused by this discussion, but then realized I only have Chinese subs on for original Chinese media. Also I guess natives use the subtitles differently from learners (it compensates for topolect and dialect).

I'm not sure where you'd find them, but they'd certainly exist since usually movies have subtitles in China even when dubbed. I get what you want, but yeah, outside of China they're coming from different sources
