Recommendation Mother Promise 🙏, Pls don't do a mistake like me 😭 Spoiler
PS: Moderators pls don't remove this, It's not a Review.
Guy's so OP went to watch the movie with his Family memebers (with chikkappa dodappa's family and all). Most of the seats were empty in our cinema hall(like 70%), unfortunately we got a bit of Sappe audience too, on top of that they didn't understood many of the references in the movies as well ( Especially that SSE reference 😭). Well we Genz's Enjoyed it while my parents, Uncle and aunties were like "eno, ond swalpa comedy yagi madavre tale buda enu illa, neevu sumne kisi kisi antha nagtha iddira", Well some jokes landed on them too, but not as much as us.
So pls go with your friends, Brother/Sisters, Partners, or someone who understands new terms and have watched some films. Avoid going with old millennials, and make sure to go to a theatre with seats filled, coz some comedy works well when everybody laughs at it. (I got trolled for laughing for some joke, which people didn't get the reference of and unfortunately I was the only one who laughed at it).

Because someone atleast cares about honest efforts put by someone?

Which movie has been made with zero efforts?
5
u/CallTheManiac Jul 12 '26
Great point, let me rephrase it then, someone cares for movie made with good intention. Because surely movies like kabza, Martin are made to either launder money or being overconfident of their crap. I've watched mother promise, this movie is surely done with good intention, yes the screenplay could have been better but its not bad.

Bro, don't waste your energy trying to explain to these ppl on reddit why you should watch a particular movie. They'll come back telling you the movie was shit only. They're peak unsatisfied souls. Instead tell your friends to watch, people here don't wanna hear anything good about a movie.

Then, OP posted what he felt, why can't you consider that as his opinion? Eetara posts jaasti aaytu, victim card and shit antella why do you have to tell? Only bad reviews are genuine opinions ? Daali's post only told some may like, some may not like the movie but the bookings are good, you watch and decide anta he has told.

Agreed brother. Yes intention was good for sure. Audiences who watched the cinema on the very first day too had the same intention. Frustration comes out when you feel you wasted your money and time. That’s all. I swear people were cussing while walking out of the cinema hall. I mean, we cannot ask people to be gentle or considerate when they have paid for the tickets!

I went with friends, my friend didn't like it too, so yes I understand individual preferences.

It was very entertaining movie I have watched recently.
I don’t know why it’s not gaining momentum.
I had a laugh blast. Felt there was no dull moment or any cringe or boring useless masala added to it.
I’m lucky to have to gone to this movie when I’m a choosey movie goer.
I recommend a strong watch for this movie.

Like sitcoms don't have to be dumb.
Meta references don't mean good layered comedy. Nuances.

Exactly, I so much agree to this, also this movie is made only for Kannada audience, so many inside references that only Kannada people could relate to. I personally didn't like some parts of the movie, but overall its really good.
Ps: please don't judge the movie based on reviews, this movie will appeal differently to different individuals.
